[QUOTE="DLXMAN"]Hi everyone i have a Hp w1907 monitor and i was wondering if it was HDCP compliant?emitsu97
Yes.
what PS3 content requires HDCP compliance?svenskamerikan
If you're using the HDMI port the receiving display must be HDCP compliant or they'll never handshake.
And what monitor displayed any non-hdcp compliant HDMI ports???...........
yes from what i hear. if the monitor is not hdcp compliant nothing will work. so thats why i asked if my monitor was. It looks like the HP w1907 is very much hdcp compliant from this source and from others who say "yes".

Sorry wasn't thinking about DVI port (which I should have since my last tv had DVI and was HDCP compliant...)
Buy a hdmi to dvi cable / hdmi to hdmi cable and an hdmi to dvi adaptor. I would recommend monoprice.com. Then in the ps3 menu you set video to output through the hdmi and sound through whatever other option you use. Not sure how to run the sound to the monitor though since DVI doesn't carry sound.
