I was trying to decide between the 80 gig or the 60 gig model. I want to use it for my bedroom on my plasma tv. But i backed off at the last second. It would be convienient to have a second unit in my room, for blu ray movies, etc, but i think maybe one is enough for now. Damn sanity prevailed....this time.
Heres an Idea... maybe you should jsut pick your ps3 up and put move it from one room too the other... i know its CRAZY but maybe it'd save u about 700 bucks.

I agree with this guy...spending 700 bucks just to watch blu-ray movies in your room is kinda a waste IMO

i was one of the lucky ones. lol. i picked one up at launch here in Denmark (that's in Europe for the people who dropped out of school so you could afford a PS3).. i then came home and my mom was "look what i've gotten you" lol.. so we have two. I want my Heavenly Sword back from my mom. she plays that game more than i do. wth man.
the most annoying thing about moving the ps3 is having to disconnect the cables from the tv and the AC from the wall. My suggestion is to buy to HDMI cables and have one on each tv. And buy an extra AC connector to only move the console, and the whole process won't take more than 10 seconds.
And plus, it will save you bick bucks for games and movies.\
i do own 2 PS3s(bought both my self) but they are not kept in the same house, i don't know if i'd ever do that seems kind of like a waste to do that. It's not hard to pic kit up and move it room to room.

What a waste of money.. For myself I bought a ps3, then use my money to buy a 360, I have just twice more fun then you guys with 2 ps3..Dont see whats the real point is to buy twice the same exact same thing at this price..At this point I think you just have too much money for you or simply dont know how to make intelligent buys.
If I could afford another ps3, I would just by a 360 or Wii instead. I mean even if you have all three, there should be something more worthy out there than buying 2 ps3s.
To the above 1. Not if he only enjoys the PS3....maybe, just maybe, he doesn't like the controllers for the wii or xBox 2 Maybe is a rich businessman or doctor and $700 isn't that much to him 3 Chances are if he is considering buying a 2nd one, he owns a LOT of games and movies already.

I own a car, i have a house, i have a job, got a bunch of movies and games, got money in my savings. Really wasn't much more i needed so i picked up a second one.
If he was considering getting another one, I think saving money is the farthest thing from his mind. Believe it or not $700 is not a lot of money to some people.

Or maybe he doesn't like buying things that require a consult with Customer Support every 30 days?
I would (and did) buy a second set of cables, so i could just take the console, and not have to crawl behind my wall hanged tv bench, because that is a fu*king 1 hour project.
