From my personal PSP game collection I can recomend you:

Syphon Filer: Dark Mirror (Great single player experience, terrific multiplayer)

Silent Hill Origins (I can recomend you this game if you're a silent hill fan, otherwise skip it)

Metal Gear Ac!d 1, 2 (I have the second one, its an interesting twist in gameplay that I found entertaining)

I was going to add Castlevania and Final Fantasy Tactics, but those were already mentioned, also, you can check out for demos as well, also I have this games demos and I can really recomend them:

Here's my pick (The Best pick so far)

1:Ace Combat X (It's An air simulation game)

2:Fight Night Round 3 (The best boxing game out there but its only good JUST for boxing nothing else)

3:Field Commander (Nice little Turrn-Based Strategy Game)

4:ATV Offroad Fury Pro (Purely a Racing game but you got all kinds of atv's,bikes,cars,buggies,trucks,snow thingy to choose from)

5:Untold Legends The Warroirs Code (Great voiced RPG Game)

Its for the PS2 aswell. Metal Slug Anthology is a MUST! Haven't seen any recently. I got it the day it came out.

Because he wants to be the first person to complain..

My choices would be: Metal Slug Anthology, God Of War, Crisis Core, Burnout, and maybe even a couple of movies for the road. I just bought a slim (the God of War red one) and I'm very happy that I have a PSP again! :)

1. God of War (short, but extremely good)
2. Tekken: DR (old game but after you play this now and then after u finish other games...its great over 100 different combos for each of the characters)

3. Final Fantasy: Crisis or Final Fantasy Tactics (both great RPG games..depends if u like Final Fantasy as well)
4. Metal Slug Anthology as well for something wen ur bored..
5. Get a puzzle game like Echocrome or a racing like juiced 2 or either get a movie or a better memory stick if u dont..
