i am starting to think getting a ps3 will be a bad choise. PLEASE HELP.

i made my decision to get it but there has been a lot of posts that said they were having a lot of problems with there ps3 like for example a lot of people say it keeps getting louder and overheating,the network keeps having problems,and one guy had a blue screen come up and the ps3 would stop working.I just wanted to know if the ps3 had any major problems that i should worry about.

The worst problem I've ever heard of is someone getting one with a bad spot on the HDD, but thats a gamble you run with any HDD. I've never heard of anyone who had one overheat. the fact is if you go look in the 360 forum you will see that any problems that may have shown up is not even 1/100th as bad as the 360 to date.gundamfan80

I smell a troll, I have never heard of  PS3 breaking down, and Sony has a 1 year warranty. Also if we compare the noise with the 360, then PS3 is as silent as a ninja,while the 360 is the annoying noise a train makes when arriving at a station.

Remember only one System has a blu-ray drive 50GB of space per disk compared to the 9gb that DVD(9) has. Also the lack of HDD on all 360's is a challenge for developers and it hinders their progress to truly make next generation games (for example GT4).

Yep!!! I do believe there are some bad ps3's out there, but most  of the claims are form people who don't own one. I'm a  US launch owner and I have had 0 problems with my console.

Yep!!! I do believe there are some bad ps3's out there, but most of the claims are form people who don't own one. I'm a US launch owner and I have had 0 problems with my console.

Mine runs quiet as hell. After its been on for a bit you can feel some pretty warm air blowing out the side. The PS3 has a HUGE freakin' fan. Here's a a pic of it..

That's because you were looking in the wrong forum.

--> Their is no overheating promlem ...

--> Having a fault PS3 is like winning the lotery ...

 Ohh and Blue screen of death = for PC's with Windows ...
