Hello all! I was messing around in Dead Space and accidentally found a glitch! This is my first play through and I am somewhere in the middle of chapter 3! I used a node on a special door and I was fullin the inventory and I decided to grab a health pack and carry it with me via kinesis, I walked back to my save point and dropped it and realized I really want that schematic in that room. So I dropped a ripper blade pack and went back to the node room...whaddya know another health pack spawned....which blew my mind. So I decided to reload my game and try the same tecehnique with the credits in that room. Except this time I moved the credits out into the room I can see through the fast crusher door, and ran back to the save. And came back picked up the credits by using kineses through the door and dropped the credit, than ran back to the save and came back and the credits were there again...I found this to be very strange, but its definitely a huuuge glitch. I shot a crappy video to give you a small glimpse of how many credits I was able to stack, it's hilarious! I went from 12,600 credits to 297,000 in like 15 minutes. And I'm only in chapter 3. It's insane I plan on reloading and playing it the correct way since I never cheat but I figured I would share this crazy exploit. Heres the link>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmUrAP26-gQ.

Plzz comment! Thx!

Money was basically useless in that game aside from purchasing the weapons and suit upgrades. Which you find plenty of before the next model of suit even becomes available to you. Neat exploit, but pointless imo.

Buying nodes and upgrading your gear is pointless? I guess you only played it on easy then, good luck beating it on impossible with basic gear.

I found all of the nodes I needed to upgrade the rig, plasma cutter, and ripper to suffiecient strength. I played on normal difficulty and had not even a tiny bit of trouble. Granted, I only used 2 nodes on door locks and used the rest for upgrades, but the two that I did waste led me to basically worthless crap.

I thought most of the Node rooms had Schematics that are pretty important, which allow you to upload ammo/health packs at the store, which you can buy whenever you want. Also I believe there is a trophy for collecing so many schematics as well, which requires entering the node rooms I believe.

So what good is the trophy if you obtain it via cheating? It symbolizes that you stood there, exploited the system, and got it for nothing. YAY! Also, I found no schematics in the two rooms I tried. I guess that burned me. However, I did find tons of schematics throughout the game without opening them. All the med pack sizes, air can sizes, all the ammos, suit upgrade....

Ya well I wasn't aware of that you could find the schematics later on. I was just postin b/c thats a ton of credits stacked up and it's But ya I wasn't aiming to cheat, if that was the case I would just put in the stupid cheat codes that I'm sure you can enter by pushing some random buttons from the start menu.... I found something that the game testers couldn't or because it's obviously not supposed to be in the game. Not to cheat.

I've had several people now that have gotten this to successfully work! If anyone else is having issues I have an updated way to try it.
