I bought Warhawk.

I purchased it about an hour ago and opened it. Unfortunately it blows. I'm guessing Best Buy will not let me trade it for another game?

IMOits a generic 1st shooter if you could even call it that... I tried logging into like 5 servers. Each server has a guy sitting in a tank camping the spawn points. If I have to endure that I mightas well go back to playingBF2.. atleast their I can spawn with a rocket launcher or explosives instead of a lame hand gun.

I tried renting it butmy local BB doesn't have it, and the Best Buynear me only had atrailer with no demo option.

Most games arn't like that and from the sound of it...you sucked at it. It's a 3rd person shooter first of all and theres a lot more then spawning and getting shot by a tank. This is the best game on the PS3 IMO (online anyways). There are so many ways to play this game it's rediculous...sounds like you played for 5 minutes and gave up. If anything this game has a STEEP learning curve but once you get good it's just rediculously fun.

dont give up on it so easily, it has a very steep learning curve, but once u get into it, and figure out how to play it properly it really is an excellent game. just keep playing and you'll be lovin it in no time. :)

GS rated this game an 8.5 and I was surprised it wasnt higher, they said the only thing wrong with it is that there wasnt any sort of tutorial, no single player so you couldnt figure out how to play, they just throw you into the fire online

I think you are trying to hard to compare it to BF2. One thing Warhawk has over BF2 is a much better Air/Flight experience. Nothing in BF2 compares to the Warhawks and you aren't going to learn to fly those in 1 hour of play.

Give the game a fair chance. You can't play any game especially a game like Warhawk and make a decision within an hour.

BF2 is a good game, but I actually think Warhawk is a lot more fun.

There are usually multiple spawn points in each game, so if you're getting spawn killed at one, the logical thing to do is choose another. Just learn the maps, especially where the explosives and tanks are located, and you'll do much better. Also, Warhawk is a game which demands skill in many different areas, be it flying, driving, shooting etc. You may have to put in a few hours practice before you get it.

warhawk is a game that grows on u. when i first got it a week after its release. i hated it then i fixed the controls to how i liked them.and then i got used to it. now i like it alot.

Bro I hated it too when I first bought it, about a month later I decided to give it another try and been hooked eversince! People spying on the Spawn Points is easy to avoid because it gives you the option as to where you want to spawn just use the D-pad to select your SP (just remember that your team has to possess that SP before you can use it).

I've never had these problems, maybe you need to filter your match search so that you get into games where your ping will be less than 100. Often times, when there is lag, damage doesn't register right away so you think you have more life than you actually have, which would explain why you think they have more powerful weapons.

i have a question, can you open a room with a p/w so you are the only guy on the map?

if so, when your alone and without interruptions you can practice the controls easier.

you could just make a local game, won't really prepare you for online tho, better to just keep dying in proper games till you work out how to not die :P

Just spawn elsewhere or go in a 32 player map, where it's almost impossible that an enemy camp every spawn points.

Really, don't hate a game because you suck at it. Go play Zone, it's awesome.

lol, best quote ever. The PC only excels in FPS and RTS. Try to play Devil May Cry, Ratchet and Clank or Final Fantasy on a keyboard, the controller is just better ANYTIME. As I said, mouse is just better for FPS and RTS. Better luck next time, Moron.
