i just updated my psp and ps3 both to the current software and im currently able to play final fantasy VII using the remote play. i still havnt tested 8, or 9 but 7 plays great with the psp. no slow downs and aspect ratio is only 4:3 and im not able to change it too 16:9; but hey cant complain right? :)

Just so I understand does the PS3 have to be on in order to play remote play? And you can only be so far from the PS3 right? and I can play ANY playstation game on my PSP via PS3? Is this right?

yes the ps3 has to be on to play using remote play; u can turn off the ps3 using the remote play when ur done playing, so its not a big problem. u can play remote play using any network, i was able to play from a cafe network. i dont know if u can play any ps1 games, but im gonna test FF 8,9 now and im gonna report back in few mins :)
does other peoples lag a little bit cause mine does just a litle bit. I mean its passible for playing an RPG but i wouldn't play anything else on it. So do other peoples play better?
On a second note it is friggen awesome because i was playing FFIX 30 miles away from my house.
ok im playing ff9 right now and found something really cool.u press the home button on psp while playing the game and u can change the image quality and the response spped; and also u can change the assign buttons.
