i cant download update 2.40

i cant download update 2.40. all my mates have it and whnever i go to system update it says i have the latest software, 2.36.

i can sign into playstation network and can even play games such as call of duty 4 online and it doesnt ask for an update. does any1 know how to solve this, or where else i can download the update as the menu gives the option to update from storage media, ie memory stick drive.

They (SONY) removed it because some people wur having problems with it.

It should be back up within the next week or so
