Im going to buy a ps3 but i dont want to go through with what just happened. I bought a psp go and now they are realeasing some new psp out of the blue. I dont want to buy a ps3 then have a ps4 waiting to come in an year. So the question is if i buy a ps3 around summer? should i just wait for a ps4. I mean if it is 2 years or so i am good. Should i just buy the ps3 since the ps4 will cost tons? Please your honest opinnion

The next PlayStation is still a ways off, I think. The release of the PlayStation Move is a good indicator of that because if they were on the verge of unveiling a new console, they wouldn't go and release an add-on like that. I'd say there's at least a couple more years before the next console lands.

Look at it this way i agree that one will not come out in the next year but lets say it did, think about what it would cost to even buy that probably back to the 600$ range again with probably a limited library of games, or half that with a ton of games now and still making. If you think that way i am pretty sure the choice is easy

A PS4 will probably not be announced until late 2012 and we likely won't see a release until around 2013 so your good. There are many many great games out their for PS3 and there are many more great ones yet to be released. Besides just because there will be a PS4 out doesn't mean the the PS3 will become instantly obsolete and console and game sales will halt. Its been almost 5 years since the PS3 has been out and sony is still selling PS2's and although there is a lack of new releases the game sales are still quite healthy for a 10 year old console

jesus. given its history the ps4 will be 800 dollars. i think it'd be best to just keep it backwards compatible for ps3 games.
