I changed the channel on my router from 6 to 11, and my ps3 seems to be online at the moment. But the signal strength is always rapidly changin. For example, one second its 65%, then its 97%, then 75%, then 100%. Is this usual.

Keep changing the channels until you get a stable connection.

This is normal, based on how much interference is passing in the air around you. Theres alot of it, even in rural areas.

I had a really bad problem of weak signal strength and it always bouncing up and down when I first added a wireless router. I called the technical support for my router and the representative told me to change the channel to 11and that should help my signal strength. It did help the strength some, and it did stop varying. He said there is less interference with channel 11 for some reason.

My router is on channel 11. But the signal strength on my ps3 is still dropping and increasind rapidly. It could be on 55%, then the next second 97%.

There are 9 other channels on your router than you can use.

The PS3 isn't limited to only channels 6 and 11. Channel 1 works best for me.

Every time someone picks up the phone at my friends house the PS3 loses connection.
