i did'nt expect a patch so soon on skyrim

the third patch will be released soon as we expected.

with all the informations they got about lag,i just think that the devs have found the problem right there.it was not so hard i think if you consider that just refresh the memory alocation and dump unwanted data out of the memory and there something else with the speed of the hard drive via memory.

think that they used the ps3's cpu speed to fix things up

The patch is out in the EU, although it isn't expected to fix the lag issue, only perhaps slightly improve performance and 'general stability'.

The patch is expected to fix the 'amazing backward flying dragons' and sort out the issues with magic resistance. All info can be found, believe it or not, on Bethesda's forums.

As others have said, this patch won't fix the lag.

they better work on it one week again because i want this patch to work fine not destroying the game on ps3.

i think is'nt suprising me that ps3 have more hardware problem with game like this huge game.i just hope this patch will fix lag.

It's so so sad that PS3 users get the shaft. Why can't the PS3 version be as good as the 360? There's no reason why the games should be so different in terms of overall quality. It frustrates me that developers still won't put the time into polishing their PS3 games. Merry Christmas!!! :Dydnarrewop

it depend which ps3 you have with which firmware version of sony.maybe the patch is deleyed by the new firmware 1.4....

bethesda devshave much more knowledge that the petty testers in sony department....

but to answer your question fast skyrim is huge and if you liked playing oblivion you will love skyrim;)

wait so when is the patch gonna be available for NA? i heard they were only dealing with glitches and bugs and stuff and the lag would be the next patch. i dunno why though the lag is the first thing they should be worrying about its ridiculous.

I do have some glitches but it's pretty minor for the most part, other people are getting lag though, so it depends I guess. I'm sure it will be fixed by the time Christmas rolls around, but Bethesda should do something about it, I'm sure they'll fix it though.

They fixed fallout 3 in an update and everyone was saying "oh it's doomed on PS3" and it turned out great after the update. And that's saying something considering how bad the launch product was, I do wish Bethesda wouldn't do this though. They need to take more damn time with their games.

for me it hasn't been bad. just after 3 or 4 hours of gameplay it starts to slowdown when in towns, so all I do is turn it off and after a few minutes turn it back on and it's fine. also, turn off all the autosaves. I havn't had the game freeze, but it almost did a few times while it was autosaving.

Like others have said, the issues vary from person to person, but 45 hours in I have yet to run into any game breaking problems.

I'd say go for it, as it's a great game that will keep you busy for a long time (which is a bit of a problem at Christmas time since so many other games have come out around the same time as Skyrim, but Skyrim will probably be the game that takes center stage).

i have played 85 hours in it and i have 2 save file 12MB.at first i did'nt expect a lag in only 6 hours of playing,so i was been able to play 12 hours,traveling into town (4) and 5-6 dungeons.

but now i can only play 7 hours,trabeling into 5 town and do 4-5 dungeon before it lag badly

i noticed that horse do the game lag a lot...so i killed it,hehehe

you are right and it seem to do a great job.bethesda devs are not unable they know what there doing.
