I don't know what all this talk of NO GAMES is about...Here are the games I have and what I think.
1. Resistance: Fall of Man- The only title I picked up with my PS3 because it was the only one that I felt was worth the time and money. Excellent FPS, complete online package. Well worth owning.
2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion- Had the Xbox 360 version, but found way too many glitches in it. It would freeze up randomly and whatnot. This doesn't happen with my PS3 version. I like the game, but don't love it. I realize now, I'm a Japanese RPG type.
3. Fight Night Round 3- I LOVE FIGHT NIGHT! After selling my Xbox 360, I no longer had Fight Night. At $32, I gave in. The character models are far superior, but the background models are awful compared to the 360 version. I like the 360 controller better for this game too.
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma- Played the originals for Xbox, but since I no longer have a 360, decided to buy it for the PS3. It doesn't run as well as the Xbox versions in my opinion, but it certainly looks A LOT better. This game has such a fluid combat system and punishing AI that it puts most of its competitors to shame. This is a game that will stand the test of time.
5. Warhawk- SO UTTERLY ADDICTED TO WARHAWK...I have invested about 80 hours into this game and there is still no end in sight. Maybe it's good I downloaded this game because whenever I fire up the PS3, Warhawk is the first thing I see. Often times, I won't even bother getting up to go get another disk.
This is my favorite online game of all-time. It is so well balanced and so damn addictive that I find myself playing for hours on end sometimes. Crack up the surround sound and hear everything exploding around you. It really does feel like war. It has its own unique cartoony **** It's not the best game, but it is a hell of a fun one.
6. Heavenly Sword- From the moment I saw the E3 2006 trailer I was sold. Then I found out that Andy Serkis was doing the animation and I was doubly sold. This game is awesome fun and has some of the best graphics ever seen. HANDS DOWN THE BEST ANIMATION I have ever seen. Compared to the white knuckle action that Ninja Gaiden Sigma gives you, this is far more cinematic in nature. That is neither a good nor bad thing. Yes the game is on the short side, but it allows for second and third playthroughs. Replaying the game on Hell Mode greatly enhances the value and fun.
I will definitely pick up Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on the 19th. That game looks simply incredible...
Ratchet and Clank Future, Guitar Hero 3, and Assassins Creed are also strong possibilities. Looks like I'll wait out until Orange Box and Haze are released in December to make my final decisions.
