With everybody whining about backwards capatibility, I feel special because I own the best which is the 60GB system. I bought it as a launch model. I received TN and was one of the first PS3 owners. People didn't want to by them they said wait for the price to come down, wait. Well when the price comes down things are sacrificed and you lost your chance.
I remember getting my 60gig at launch day and my friends laughing at me because of the price and now that they got there ps3's and selling there ps2's to get it then finding out later there is no backwards compatibility, all i can say to them is....OWNED!!!!
Proud owner of a japanese hot sexy 60 GB, i only have played Kingdom Hearts 2 FM+ and FFXII:IZJS on it because of the region restrictions, it was delivered to me a day before the NA release.
40 GB is doing me just fine. I never had a PS2 so Back-compatibilty is NOT an issue. I bought a PS3 to play next-gen HD games, I still have my Gamecube to play last gens stuff. I know the PS2 has a HUGE library, but honestly with all the new games coming out this Fall, I can only look forward to the gems I will be playing in fullHD on my Plasma screen.
Yeah and my ps3 can be the 200gb ps3 when I want to upgrade it, and still have backwards capatibility. For those of you who bought aquired a PS3 60GB I solute you!

Yes it does. They are the ones who waited and just kept the PS2 if everyone with a PS2 would have bought one sony would've kept it. Boring PS2 owners said no the price is to high, sony said ok if you really want the price lower then so be it, we'll sell the better consoles to the people who want to pay for them
