i can't believe you just compared a gaming division of a company to a political party that is responsible for a mass genocide of an entire population in Europe. :|
using money to talk has always been part of business. Sony did this to muscle out Nintendo in the PS1 days.
Just look at the offenses we already know about! (Madden '08 and NCAA football '08 only 30fps, paying Rockstar $50 million for exclusive content, Paramount and Dreamworks Animation studios declaring their loyality to HD-DVD $150 million dollars later.) I truly believe that M$ is in an all-out blitzkrieg against Sony and the PS3 that Sony was not completely aware of until (hopefully) now. I like both systems but if M$ is going to be that dirty and under-handed in this war, I'm going to be forced to side with Sony. In this situation M$ reminds me way too much of Nazi Germany in the 1930s and 1940s. myxylplyx
No, that's called business. Last time I checked, Microsoft isn't sending anyone to death camps, killing members of a certain race, or invading France. You might want to be careful about what your comparing

i heard in Japan, MS is forcing every PS3 and Wii owner to wear the PS and Wii logo on their clothing.

Not yet they're not. But what if?
j/k But I could totally see M$ being like that.

ever wonder where Ken Kutaragi is??
think about it...
although i think its stupid to compare them to nanzis, their tactics are not the same sony used in the ps1 days. sony gave incentives like cheaper licensing fees and whatnot, not 50 mil in cold hard cash. theres a difference...i can't believe you just compared a gaming division of a company to a political party that is responsible for a mass genocide of an entire population in Europe. :|

well if its any consilation, its not the first time MS has been called nanzis.[QUOTE="c0mplex"]although i think its stupid to compare them to nanzis, their tactics are not the same sony used in the ps1 days. sony gave incentives like cheaper licensing fees and whatnot, not 50 mil in cold hard cash. theres a difference...i can't believe you just compared a gaming division of a company to a political party that is responsible for a mass genocide of an entire population in Europe. :|

how is that different? it all equates to Sony giving money or losing money in order to better their relations with publishers/devs.

all articles that i have read have said that the HD DVD promotion group were the ones who struck a deal with Paramount/Dreamworks.
MS is not even a managing member of this organization... much less the Chair Company. they are just a general member, due to the fact that they made a deal to put HD DVD drives on the 360 (just as an option... not pushing it as hard as Sony is with Blu Ray).
