Okay I went all over the place trying to solve my NAT Type 3problem. I want it in NAT 2 so I can chat anddo some other stuff. The thing is, I use a TRENDnet router and everyone else seems to use __________, but NO TRENDnet. The reason it's so difficult is that all the instructions are useless to me (being made forLinksys, D-Link, etc)and I would often times get confused and pull my F-ing hair in fustration (IT TOOK ME 5 hours to finally give up).I really suck when it comes to these kind of things so if ANYONE has anything, then I'll be truely grateful if you can help me.

P.S. I went to gametrailers, IGN and even G4tv forums to post my problem. This is #4 post. So far NO ONE KNOWS!!

3 things

1- Static IP on the PS3, copy it down
2- Turn of UPNP on the router
3- Put the PS3 IP into the DMZ

Kills mine I have a logitech router though.
If it is in the DMZ then it doesn't need the UPNP and will cause problems with the connection

make sure the correct ports are open on all firewalls. 80, 443, 5223 TCP. 3478-3479, 3658, 4658, 3074 UDP. i had a situation where my antivirus, router, and modem where all blocking these ports. i dont know exactly how the my antivirus was doing it. but i had to disable UPnP and manually open those ports.
