i got HAZE ...why all the hate ??!!!! ( my impressions )

ill be totally honest

i found the haze demo to be pretty good.

when i first saw the game i thought it was nothing different, but when i played it , it turned out to be pretty good demo if not a little short.

I wouldn't review some of the exclusives so high because I love to play online and they haven't this feature , but if you get over the online they truly deserve the score he gave them.Besides there's no damn problem with lair the problem was in the complexity of the sixaxis which some people couldn't handle ( that angers me so much but I'll keep being polite) now there's the analog control so what's the problem with it?I totally agree with your scores except for UT3 and oblivion lol they deserve both 8.5 IMO.I'm sure I will love haze !RoOodriGowW

about people telling me why lair is 8 ?? first play the game then talk.... second get your lazy @ss in the training and master the controls before playing the game....ans see what a wonderful game this is

Uncharted and Resistance a 7?!.....Yeah, uh-huh..

Maybe he rated some of his games a bit high, but this thread isn't about deliberating his scoring fairness & ability, it's about Haze & the hate...

I played the demo, I enjoyed most every other game from these guys up to TimeSplitters2 and I must say i liked the story of Haze about a brainwashed drug-addicted army vs a more guerilla type side kind of war.

After I played the demo I didn't feel like it had gotten through to me though, in all honesty...

I felt there was something missing, but I plan on trying the full game so I'll know for sure. The voice acting was great, but maybe I'm just really tired of FPS and I need a break from them... i didn't feel like it was a must-buy. But i didn't feel like it needed to be bashed, it plays great, and deserves points for actually making two distinct teams instead of the same old Red vs Blue crap...

In the end i don't feel like it deserves hate, even less by people who never plan to try it...

well i honestly agree with ya... there's alot of people who hate, and also i found out that gamespot and over rating company like ign etc.. only rated the game on its demo format and not the real game...

ok here is my impression.... first of all the quastion that evry one been asking is the demo graphics are the same as the full game ? no... the full game graphics are 2x more better dont know if this has any thing to do with my TV or not i have a full HD TV

the game runs very nice and smoothly no frame rate issus or bugs, it has an awesome sound effects actually one of the best so far...im not talking about voice acting wich you all hate im talking about the guns fire sounds and movment sound . explosions , jets , cars and those kind of stuffs. and gameplay is really really fun

* nactur : its just like the ability you use with the chimera in resistance..it gives you good visions of anemy and speed you up ( if you over doooz your player will go insane shooting team mates and acting weard lol )

* most of the -score is for poor story : since when do we buy FPS for just a good story lets be honest we all get the FPS games 70% for the online+ gameplay and this game has an amazing online with 16 players + vehicles

* co-op : dont forget this amazing gift wich makes the game 10x more fun playing it with your friends

* kratos.. its one of 2..you are a free radical fanboy ..or dont have games : i haven't even played 1 game from free radical even timespliter you all talk about i never played it before , games im playing now : GTA 4 , gran turismo 5 p , Haze , COD4 , hot shot golf

HAZE is an awesome game

Well, I was kinda looking forward to it, with all they hype and whatnot. But after playing the demo, I was very unimpressed. Im glad you like it, I would never try to discourage anyone from a game they may like. People have differing opinions and likes and there will definetely be a market for this game, but Im not buying it.ThisCurse

This game at least deserves a rent, a great buy. Reviewers have their own opinions, try it for yourself and see

I was thinking of the same thing.

For starters heavenly sword is not a ten, its a decent game and i enjoyed it allot but no more than a 7.5 IMO, linear gameplay, very repetitive, no platforming or exploration, it definitly was not a ten, a 7.5 means good IMO, 8.5 means very good and 9.5 means great.

Lair was a terrible game, folklore was an average game, resistence was good but not 9.2 good more like an 8.0-8.5.

But this is just my opinion and thats his so its all fair but judging his scores id say his taste differes from mine, cod4 was better than haze,resistence,uncharted(uncharted was very good but not as good as cod4), i never played R&C i prefer games like that to be platformers, and to give oblivion a a 4.5 is just crazy talk IMO.

Again this is just my opinion, but looking at his scores it seems anything thats exclusive to PS3 gets an extra point or two.

what ratchet and clank did not deserve a 7its not a 9 either but not a 7 i would say a solid 8 and assassins cred are you crazy 7 that is a 9 ok heavenly sword i would say 7 if you pay $64 for it but when that games price drops to $19.99 i would up the score to a 10 because it is a must play for ps3 owners and since you did say "almost" i will assume you didn't mean uncharted

You are missing the point. Those were his rating and he likes haze - if you completely disagrees on what he thinks of the other games then you probably won't like Haze.

Honestly - I really like this post. You are saying you like Haze and a bit why then what else you like. I love Resistance and can't stand UT3 - guess what falls in line with your scores so probably would like Haze. Other people love UT3 and don't like Resistance so much.... yeah you can all figure out the rest.

Terrible controls??? DUDE! THEY WERE FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow...

And if you don't like the 4 player co-op or how they executed the basic FPS principles, then I must say, you never downloaded or installed the demo....... The only negative people got out of the demo (people who actually got it) were the not so good graphics (which were touched up over the 6 months after they made the demo)... I don't know where you get all that other stuff from.

Artificial Intelligence. In other words, how smart are the CPU's? Do the enemis act like idiots begging to get shot? Do they shoot at random walls behind them? Do they shoot at thin air next to them? (of course, when they're not ODing)

Do your teammates get in your line of fire? Do they run away and act like cowards?

I agree with you on HAZE. I am loving the game right now. It's not the best FPS ever, but I would put it in front of just about every FPS for the PS3 except Resistance. I've played them all except HL2 which I'm eventually getting for PC. I know people love COD4, but it's just not my thing. IMO Haze is definitely better than UT3, R6V, Turok, and others.

The gameplay is very solid, and there are no bugs in the game that I've come across. The story is good, but probably could have been told better although I haven't finished the campaign yet. Multiplayer is a blast though, even for just 16 players...I'm used to 32 with Warhawk which is the best online shooter game for the PS3 imo.

This game may not have lived up to all the hype, but it is definitely a great game worth playing. I feel sorry for everybody who won't at least give it a chance just because a couple of lame ass reviews from people who's opinions are just that opinions. Oh well I'm having fun.

EDIT: to the TC, you have to show homage to such a great game in Oblivion. It's absolutely amazing!
