So "Sony" (who have nothing to with with burnout) screwed you because you didnt bother to research the product?
Next time dont assume things and take 5 seconds to google/wiki it.
You must have read it wrong. I was considering purchasing it a few weeks ago and don't remember it saying something about the Island pack.
Here's what it says on Wikipedia.
The Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box is a re-release of the game that includes the original game plus all the new free updates and Party.
The game contains:
Its your mistake not sony's but anyways Here you go
Burnout™ Paradise The Ultimate Bundle - Get the full version of Burnout Paradise - 2008's Racing Game of the Year - and get the brand new Pass the Pad Party Pack as well.
Paradise City is the ultimate driving playground, set in a vast open-world, filled with gameplay that will push your driving and riding skills to the limit.

Sux bro... :(
Maybe you were so caught up in the moment of thinking about playing the game and expansion pack you were imagining everything on-screen while pressing "PURCHASE"

Well, the problem obviously is that I misread the description. I had no idea there was anything to research. I was just wondering what I misread to make me think it included the Big Surf Island. And yeah, that's true. Sony doesn't really have anything to do with Burnout. I think the same box set is on Xbox Live and stuff. Misdirected anger.Iread that the bike pack can be obtained by a free update for the standard game. Which, once again, I would have learned earlier if I had done some research. But instead of research, I just read the product description. Misread, apparently. I'm just curious what it was that I misread. (And, to reiterate, the thread title was misdirected anger. Sony obviously has nothing to do with this. I was also pretty clear in the first post that I'm aware I misread something. Obviously my own fault.)If I am not mistaken you also got the bike pack

Thanks, but that's not what I was looking for. That's from the PlayStation Store's webpage, which I'm able to see. The problem is that I can no longer see the description for the bundle that was in the PlayStation store when accessed using a PS3. (Since I've now downloaded it, the bundle no longer appears and is replaced by just the game.) The description there is about three times longer and mentions something along the lines of new features such as Big Surf Island. I'm just very curious as to what exactly it says about the Big Surf Island feature that led me to believe it was included. It may be very possible that it was simply the price tag that made me think it was included, and I misread something saying it's simply an optional add-on. I don't know. I'm just very curious to know what it said."Burnoutâ„¢ Paradise The Ultimate Bundle - Get the full version of Burnout Paradise - 2008's Racing Game of the Year - and get the brand new Pass the Pad Party Pack as well.

There's a Burnout Paradise + Big Surf Island bundle in the European PS Store that is not in the North Amercan store, is it possibe you read about the EU bundle and just made an uninformed assumption?
Having just looked up the description of the Ultimate bundle on the NA store, there's no mention of the Island anywhere in there. The only thing that could possibly be read the wrong way is where it says:
"What's more, you'll have everything that you need to take advantage of even more amazing new content coming to Paradise City through 2009 for players that love both off and online gameplay."
As the island did come out in 2009 I supposed you could sort of read into that paragraph that it might be in the Ult. bundle. The problem with that statement is that it's just the code for what became the island update that's on the disc.
Thanks for taking a look for me. Yeah, in that case I'm not sure what I read or where I read it. I must have a bad memory. There's a Burnout Paradise + Big Surf Island bundle in the European PS Store that is not in the North Amercan store, is it possibe you read about the EU bundle and just made an uninformed assumption?
