What games (Ps3 wise) look better? Because, you know, reasoning is a good thing when you are trying to make a point.paradigm68
God of war 3, Metal Gear soild 4. Its debateable but I didn't find Uncharted 2 to be as it was made out to be by the community. The single player was meh. Story was there but presentation was basically just consist of climing and shooting but at differentlocation (on trains, mountains) nothing stood out. Its gameplay was there and very soild but I got bored of it real quick. Online was the best imo
well, i have not played a whole lot of ps3 games yet since i have only had it about four months, and i am not going to list the 360 games i think look better since this is the ps3 forums. Its just my opinion and i was wondering if others shared it as well.
it looks good, but not nearly as good as people make say it does, i have played many games that i think look better. Does anyone else agree.19elderscroll86
UC2's graphics are somewhat overrated. The game occasionally reaches near-photorealism (usually outdoors) but the cutscenes often bring to light noticeable imperfections.
Overall though, I would definitely say this is one of the better looking PS3 games. And there are games which have graphics that are far more overrated. Crysis 2's graphics are worse than UC2's graphics from what I've seen (PS3 versions), yet it's often touted as possibly being the best-looking console game ever. Rubbish!
good enough for my to play. im not a graphics hog though but i do like my games to have a certain realism (depending on the game) as it makes the experience more immersive. id say definatly one of the detter looking console games though.

Yet you haven't mentioned any of these better games :P Uncharted 2 looks fantastic but the thing that really makes it great is that there are no load screens at any point and the animations are really amazing,

God of War 3? Yeah, that's debatable, and sill mostly subjective. Metal Gear Solid 4? Not by a long shot. The game wasn't even developed in true HD.
There are not many games that LOOK better than UC2 does on any console. So, unless you're a hardcore PC gamer, you're not going to find many games with better technical graphics than UC2. As for the actual game, I think it's a bit overrated. It's a great game, definitely a premier PS3 game, but the pedestal people put it on is a little laughable.
Not sure which game you played but Unchaerted 2 was superb visually and from a gameplay standpoint. I'd rank Uncharted 2's single player campaign easily into my top five this gen. And yea, i played hundreds of games this gen.

Well i must have been looking at a different game because Uncharted2 looks absolutely amazing. Even in the small corners of a street where someone might not even look naughty dog added details that most games dont even have in the main travelled areas. Before you get to the hotel level (you know the one with the pool on top) you can go the the far left and there is a small pool of water that has light beautifully reflecting off the little waves. When you roll in snow it clumps to your pants and slowly melts causing wet spots, which then in turn dry. dust floats in the air and settles instead of acting like big rocks and just falling to the ground. If you dont think Uncharted looks good (which is not opinion, but fact) then you cannot appreciate substance but only surface. The beauty is in the details.
I think Uncharted 2 looks great. The action is intense, has a great cast of characters, story, and above all else gameplay. Can't wait for Uncharted 3!

uncharted 2 is beautiful graphically as far as an artistic standpoint....u got to look at the little things and around it to really appreciate it.....its not supposed to look "real" necessarily....at least thats what i think...

Uncharted 2 isn't my top game but it's not far off. The single player was awesome and the co-op was fun but limited. The only drawback is the multi-player. The Uncharted shooting mechanics just dont make a fun multi-player experience for me.
U2 looked outstanding 2 years ago, yeah. It still looks great but I think Castlevania Lords of Shadow is one gorgeous game, one of the best looking ones I've seen in a while.

disagree. and U2 came out in 2009. It was the best looking game at the time. That was 2 years ago though
i never play this game yet, but i tried the demo, it looks fantastic game, worth buyin, i really consider alot of graphics its the most important thing to me then gameplay and story etc......
I personally think the TC is a 360 guy looking to bash. Given he said he can't say which games look better because he can't bring up 360 games in the ps3 forum. If that isn't a hint than I don't know what is. But I personally think Uncharted 2 is one of the best, if not the best looking game on consoles. Some people will say it's overrated but I don't think it is. The game has amazing production value, amazing pacing, amazing set pieces, amazing action, stealth/cover/shooting/platforming/fighting mechanics all wrapped up into one game, it has fun online, challenging co-op, trophies, tons of unlockables, fun popcorn summer blockbuster feel to the story with a great cast of characters that MOST people fell in love with. But most games that get all the love these days are like Mass Effect and Elder Scrolls and FPS games or games with excessive gore. But that is my two cents.

You're the one whose trying to get all of our blood pressures up tough guy; calling us kids and saying you'd be amazed if we knew what we were talking about. I never said the game wasn't spectacular looking. That was solely my opinion. Your arguments are nitpicking miniscule loophooles and blowing them out of proportion.
I thought the game was great for when it came out. Sure there are better looking games than it now as will always be the case, but really, its a 2009 game! Lets talk about the 2011 games! :P Also people will always have there differences, some will like it, some well think its average at best or even less. So don't worry about it.

You say nothing about the presentation stood out, but you only mentioned the visual parts. What about the soundtrack and voice acting? Both are top notch in my opinion, and everything is so cinematic. Uncharted 2 is one of my favourite PS3 games.
