Last night i went to buy a ps3, and the dude that was working there was so annoying. he was giving me a lecture about how 360 is the best system and all that. I was just waiting to get my system and he kept talking. I don't know how you guys feel but when i go to buy something i don't really want to talk to the dude for half an hour. If you work in a place like that please do not give your opinion until you are asked. Why should you care if somebody is buying something stupid? well i bought my ps3 and i am happy about my purchase, i sold my 360 to my friend. I ll be in touch with my 360 but ps3 is awesome.
if i were you, i would have said something like "i'm looking for a ps3, so just give me a damn ps3 and shut your trap" i hate people hardselling stuff to me, the more you sell, i less i buy
Well i havent really had experiances like that, im lucky that all stores in my area are "Fanboy Free" lol. Though something similar did happen where the guy kept on talking.
I simply ignored him and told him to get whatever i needed, i think it was like a game or something. He kept on raving on how bad it was and still ignored. The game was in the back and i told him to get it for me and stop wasting my time. At that point he started to insult me, i then went to the manager plain and simple. The manager came..got my game...plus i got the game half off for what i had done.
The guy probably lost his job, but thats what you gotta do. Ignore these people and just get what ever the heck you need and get out. BTW congrats on the purchase...good luck with it.

and if the dude at gamestop told that kind of trash to me i wouldve told him that i was going to go rite across the street to target to buy it instead and that he was losing a customer
then id ask to speak to his manager before i left to tattle on him lol and tell him how his clerk's behavior drove off a customer

I've never expireanced something like that, if it ever happened to me I'd say STFU or I'll buy my f***ing console somwhere else. I'd also complain to the manager and make sure he fires him or straightens him out.:twisted:
he said abt how the xbox360 will outsell the ps3 the end of the year..and i was like..."well the ps3 is slow on making money..but atleast THEY actually are making money rather than losing MORE money..." and then he was like all frustrated and started babbling that the 360 is the future..and i simply said "thats if anyone's xbox360 survives without getting an RROD and owh yea,in 10 yrs ur beloved xbox360 will b dead while my ps3 will b running smoothly" and then i got my ps3 when the other guy gave it to me and then i left....BUT~not b4 i said to the manager that his worker was trying un-persuade me from buying a product..BUT...i don think he got anything badly...since his manager was like "wat did u buy?" and he looked down at the ps3 i was holding and i saw him rolled his eyes and i was like "oh did i offend u with my ps3?" and walked away...i swear i saw him show a finger at me buy i just laughed when i got to my car..
Yeah, my Blockbuster have these two guys that always ask me if the PS3 is good, or worth buying when they see I'm renting PS3 games. Hella annoying if you ask me, and same exact question for the last 3 months. I don't think they are fanboys but similar, they say they are going to get 360's but yet they have been asking the question ever since. And then they start talking about Wii and Super Smash Bros Brawl (although I am waiting for that game also)
And whats also worse is people at stores getting paid for commission, not really fanboyism but hella annoying asking you if you need help.

i agree, but i know some nice stuff on the ps3 and some guy was goin on about the 360, i shut him down, lmao it was pretty funny, it really shut him up
so just learn a few things about wateva u r buying so that you can prove others wrong
Circuit City is THE WORST, about forcing xbox crap down your thraot, years ago when I went to get my ps2 they were like "yuou should really get teh xbox its better" and I said I didn't think it was and he was like "phhh well it is" so I told him that as far as I was concerned Bill Gates could shove the glorified computer up his a**. And it hasn't stopped since, When I used to buy games at EB games they would tell me that if I turned in so many games and my ps2 I could get whatever whatever off of an xbox, EVERY GODDAMN TIME. And recently, once again at Circuit City an employee actually got IN A FIGHT with me over it, and to top it off I was asking him about TV's, but I made the mistake of mentioning my ps3 (talking about HDMI) and he went nuts, and followed me around the store yelling crap. Considering how much money MS spends on viral marketing, I am completely convinced that these stores get paid to do this... I I just try to find solice in the fact that the people in the stores remind are exactly like people who work in comic-book shops, trying to force the same sense of self-worth by being pompous jerks about whatever the topic, no matter who is footing the bill for their postion (woah, now that I think about it that sounds like most institutions, like congress) but none of it amounts to much. If they were right in the first place then ps2 would have out behind Dreamcast and MS would be raking it in right now, but in reality MS hasn't een made any money on xbox.
