I hate mgs4...

because every other game i play just seems mediocre compared to it, is it just me or do other people get this aswell?

I hate MGS 4 for the fact that its so epic

No because I've never played it. Just not my type of game. Maybe I'll buy it when it hits 20 bucks, but I'll just stick to Valkyria Chronicles. That game makes almost every game seem mediocre, but I don't hate VC for it. I blame the other games for not being as good as VC.

Heh I felt that way for a while too. But after vc came out it tied mgs4 for my favorite game of that year.

i agree in a loose sense

not every game has to be epic, those are the ones that are remembered but most games could have easily been better, i think that is what upsets me the most.

ohwell, i always was a picky gamer, i'll just wait until valkryia chronichles, then i will wait for bayonetta, then heavy rain, then god of war, then tekken, then gran turismo, then ff13 then versus, then team ico

they are working on it, they have said that already, they will probably release it along with a few other things at 1 year aniiversary.

i've finished MGS 1 to 4. Among those 4 games I can say MGS4 is the best... Because the game is not all about stealth but also like a war game. ^_^

MGS 4 is an outstanding game and is definitley going to be remembered as classic. The visuals, the over the top storyline and the excellent gameplay are all presented perfectly making this one of the most impressive games I have played.

I loved MGS4 (and all the other MGS games for that matter) because it is very much focused on the single player experience, something I find is not so common these days. Alot of the games released now are focusing on the online/muliplayer aspect of gaming, which is great if you like that sort of thing but i have always preferred a good solid single player experience.

You'd be surprised what starts a flame war with MGS4 fans. People worship this game like the second coming of Christ...if he was a video game that is.

But, But it is the second coming of Christ in Video game form.

However being serious for a second while I love MGS 4 I have been able to distance myself from that and other games which are out there. I believe that the bar was raised with the release and if it causes a knock on effect where other games try to be as good as the game then that for me is a good thing. Or another way of looking at itif you look at the film Flash Gordon and then watch Star wars then say another film in the space sci fi genre then you will see that each of the films have improved and moved the genre forward.

Very very very misleading thread tittle.lol...Anyway, I don't think that MGS4 over-all is perfect (ESPECIALLY ONLINE) but I do think that it is one of the best games of this-gen of gaming.

I love MGS4 for being the game that defines quality in such a high level that the rest of the games out now can't seem to capture, even Killzone 2 and I love that game because of how well it was executed!

i think MGS4 was a great game, the only downside to it is that its very short in game play, yet you get the long wait of having it installed on your hard drive. The online update, that i installed, man did it take forever. 1 half days >:(. Its just not your average stealth game unlike the other MGS games. =[

I never really "compare" games unless it's actually in the same genre. I may hold Metal Gear in higher priority over some other games. But I don't hate or find other games dull because I own MGS4. That's not much different than what those kiddies did with Halo. They treated it like every other game fell behind it. How can anybody be a gamer going on like that? There would be nothing to play.
