Sucks.
Maybe you just need to learn the movies and become.. not rusty? I wouldn't know, I've never played a SF game 'afore.
Its about as challenging as the other street fighter games, I'm not having any problems, and who doesn't love a good challenge since it seems like most games today are a cakewalk.Gohansephiroth
I agree with you. Even though I got f***ing owned by the easy difficulty today, I must still say I'm having quite a lot of fun. And yes the game is insanely hard, I did not expect this, partly due to me can't pulling off most of the super moves due to the d-pad. I think I need to really consider getting a fightstick.

lol, I just realized a couple days ago that your name refers to the RHCP song.
I was in my car and the radio DJ guy announced the name of the song when it was over and I was like "Where have I heard that befo-OHHHHHHH."
I can't believe they got it wrong. Challenging is one thing this is ridiculous. On the easiest setting I spent an hour trying to beat the final boss and never did. I tried medium, and easy, and couldn't get a punch in edge wise. I'm not having fun. I used to love this series and I know I'm rusty but geeezus. The comp will throw the same exact move at your 6 or 7 times n a row and trap you in the corner. Rent this don't buy it. Save yourself the heart break.The_profeshenalRight before I picked up SFIV a friend of mine and I busted out the original SFII (World Warrior) on SNES. I remember being pretty damn good at it as a kid and after playing SF3rd Strike for so many years, I figured I could beat it without issue. Don't hate IV yet, please go back and play II because it's not the game, you're just much more rusty than you think.
It's called having to be good at the game. You know. Dedicate yourself to it and learn all the moves/combos for that character you love. I think the reason fighting games are now a minority is due to the lack of the will to dedicate yourself into learning something in contrast to picking up a first person shooter and being able to pretty much play right away. It's not a better/worse thing, it just demands something different from players - something people are moving away from.hazelnutman
I agree with you. I started off terrible at the game, but I just kept pressing even after losing to Seth 10 times in a row. And you know what? A funny thing happened. I got better at it as I kept playing! Fascinating! Yeah, it's a tough game, especially for someone so bad at fighting games like me, but I kept working at it and find myself slowly getting better. It's a great game. I played around with some characters and have really taken a liking to a few, so I'm excited to practice with them and hone my skills. The game is only bad if you let it be bad and let it annoy. Patience and practice is key in my opinion.

You know, i am going to have to agree with you. I bought Street Fighter 2 HD and played it on easy, and I couldn't get past the last boss. See the thing is, its EASY, meaning that it SHOULD be a cakewalk. When you play a game on easy your basically telling the game that "yes I suck just let me win, please?" and I think that every person who plays a game should be allowed to beat it one way or another, without having to go through the likelihood of frustration SF brings to the table.
Sure, its not challenging you but it shouldn't be on easy even if you do suck.

His first form is his easiest and you can easily beat him to unlock all the characters in one match.
Didn't play a Street fighter game since Alpha. did't like a Street fighter game since Super SFII.
I really hate the new combo system, the game was way more tactical when combos weren't there ; players had to know their opponent's weakness to be efficient and not wait for an occasion to use the "hyper super devastative move" to win
And I hate the new graphics.

You never played 3rd Strike? Man you missed out. I think SF4 got the game more balance with it's tiers and IMO the new look is refreshing and I'm glad Capcom didn't make the same mistake that they did with EX.I have to say one thing I hate indirectly about the game.. Is the absurd amount of expensive perphials.. I mean the cheapest thing you can get isa whooping $40 for a specialized fight pad that isn't even rechargable it needs double a's! And has had numerous complaints on it.. Where is the affordable stick for $40 to $50.. I can't justify spending $80 to $90 on the cheapest stick for ONE game.. sSubZerOoDude, look up the seller "gamepeer" on ebay- there is your cheap stick and it rocks

Honestly i think people can agree, this game is a little harder than most fighting games. Easy dosen't seems like it. They should have made Easy -> Medium, and create a new easy mode, like very easy, because i wouldn't want to be 10 years old and get SFIV for my birthday. *cries of frustration incoming*magicquebec
When you say most fighting games which ones are you referring to? ...cause I find this ok compare to say King of Fighters series...they're notorious with *cheap* final boss
I haven't played SF4 yet, but from your description it sounds exactly the same as every street fighter ever made.
I think people who complain about the difficulty are noobs who either haven't played an SF game before, or its been so long they've forgotten how challenging it ALWAYS was.

Easy should be easy. Hard should be hard. When easy plays like medium, then games alienate people who have time obligations which don't allow them to "master" games. The whole point of having an easy mode is making games accessible to every skill level.
Players who have the time to become great have the extra hard difficulty and competitive on-line play. When they insult the people who are hoping for a casual gaming experience on the easy mode they are being insanely selfish, egoistic, and short-sighted.
Programmers..... make your easy mode easy please.
meh....i love the game. Seth is definitely a pain, but he is beatable....people just need to practice, thats all.
i dont consider myself good at fighting games and ive managed to beat him on easy and medium with the 360 controller (which SUCKS for fighting, especially this game)...im sure you guys can do it with at least a good dpad. come on.
ppl are too much used to FPS where you can easily beat the game or start the multiplayer right away and get some kills.
well, fighting games are more complicated and the learning curve is always longer than other games. you cant really wait to beat the game the first day you got it, it isnt like run-and-gun, in this genre there isnt "oh i know how to perform all the combos and stuff", no. you still need some strategic when you play it and know the right moment to land the hit.
but also hav to agree with the guy above me.
easy should put the game difficult for all kind of players, rusty or first timers.

...... If you can't beat the easiest setting, than maybe you are not cut out for the game.. That difficulty you can literally kill the majority of your opponents by spamming fireballs at them from a distance.. I am not quite sure how much easier you need it to be..Wow. I thought this person actually had a good reason when the post title stated 'I Hate Street Fighter 4'. If you put it on the easiest mode and still can't beat Seth, I am sorry, but you should not even own a game system. Im no pro, But I beat it on medium, and I tried the easiest mode, and a good tip is do a lot of hard jump kicks and low hard kicks. You should not be angry at Capcom at all, the easy mode is really easy for anyone. You must have a broken controller or something. Just do Jump H.Kick and Low H.Kicks and you should be fine. Then when you learn Shoryukens and Hadoukens, It'll be much easier.
what the....
On easiest, all I did was hadokens and I managed to beat the game.
If you think this was difficult, you should try older SF2 games on 8 star difficulty level.
