so im thinking of buying this game on psn and i saw 2 different versions, one is $20 for just the game, and ther other is $30 and its the burnout ultimate bundle, so i read up a little bit and it seems that the ultimate bundle is just the full game $20 + all the free updates they did in 2008, so i was wondering is that all it is, i mean if i get the $20 game and just download all the free updates isnt that just the $30 bundle? then shouldnt i just same my $10 and get the extra island or the legenary car pack? anyways if some one can clearify this for me that would be great

thanks

the free ones are the ones you get automatically through update and there are.... a lot of those.

yeah I think that's best way too. from what i know, Party Pack is for online, and let's face it, it's an old game, and not a lot of people are playing online like they used to. But I haven't played it for a long time so I wouldn't know.

actually from what i read the party pack is for off line multiplayer, where you pass the controller around, which i always though is kinda of a pointless concept, i havent really see this pass the controller thing done really well in any game.

The basic game, as-is with no DLC, is more than enough to keep you busy and/ or allow you to play with people online if you so desire. And because this game no longer has the Crash Mode, it's not a pass-n-play game. I thought it wasn't all that good, either. It's just not... it's not the "BurnOut" I came to be obsessed with over the course of five or so games on the last-gen alone. See what you think, but to me "BurnOut Paradise" felt icky. The open world thing is cool for about two minutes until you realize that in order to restart a race after completion, you need to drive aaaaalll the waaaaay baaaaaack to where it started. It just felt wrong, and the crashes have almost entirely lost the fantastic cinematic Michael Bay spectacular visual appeal, you can't turn the crash camera off anymore so you HAVE to see them and interrupt the flow of your race...It's really nothing like "BurnOut" games on PS2 or PSP...

It all just felt sort of 'off'.

Not a BAD game, because it all still technically works, but certainly not the girl I fell in love with.

I haven't read any of the follow ups to your question, but the dlc isn't free. you'd pay more than 10 dollars with each dlc pack so you may as well download the complete bundle(?).

The DLC pack included in the ultimate set isnt that great to be honest, unless you have a few mates who come around and pass the controller around. The DLC would of been much better it if was online (no support either). Just think of the DLC as a few more easy trophies.
