i beat you to it (got it yesterday but only started the story mode this morning). have finished 5 hour act 1. taking my time and now taking a small break from it...as the game suggests when you play for 5 hours without stopping.

Nice sleeve that comes with the standard edition, i wish i had it signed, i did plan on buying the Limited edition but it was 79.99 at play and all you got extra over the u.s version which was £45 was a £10 olive drab old snake, i would have paid £50 same as bishock that came with similar contents but the big daddy was metal and not plastic i think it was a rip off the le, but who cares we finally have metal gear.

Started it on big boss hard and loving it already, mainly been cut-scenes, but i enjoy long winded cut scenes if done properly like metal gear, if it gets a bit tediuos on hard i may go back to normal for my first play through, but im going to stick with hard for know as i prefer to play games that way more fufillment.

What difficulty did you start on? Do enemies notice you very easily even when in cover with octocam(they do on hard)? and whats your first intial impression?

Just the sleeve around it, pretty good will keep the box in mint condition, and a sneak peak at the game guide, i have not read the instruction book so im not sure if there something in there, oh wait theres some sort of comic strip all the way through the book, its a short comic that descibes the controls and what not in a little story.

So far i have not done much(taking a break,making food and going to watch the euro 08 portugal match) played about an hour(i wont spoil anything) mainly cut scenes so far(awesome cut scenes).

You can download a free red camo suit for the octocam and a song, seems like content like this will be added often, theres a virtual range(simialr to something from MGS2) just for triaing.

Did you order from play too, i noticed they were in stock on monday but never got posted till tuesday(well mine didnt) i ordered it back in august 07.

Im so pleased i dont have to wait several months for a uk release, seems like the EU is getting some love from publishers now.

I did not pre-order. i never do. i got it from a independant game shop where they don't have to wait to the thursday to sell like the other bigger shops.

I probably could have got it on monday if i had went earlier. but got it yesterday.
