I have only played MGS 2 and it was a great game real cool, I never got to finish it but the cinematics were way too friggin long for my patience, it felt like a movie they took up too much time building story. I'm just saying I dont want to sit through several cinematics that are like 25 minutes each.

One time my mom wanted to watch her soap opera and I just finished one part of the game and was planning to save it immeadietly after but it took so long I tried pressing x or start just to hurry up and save already because I dint want to lose data but nothing happened so I turned it off and just forgot about the game after. its a shame.

I know Ill probably be getting this game just because I remember having a lot of fun with the 2nd one.

Nope, they wanted to but they had to much story so its cinematics as usual, theyll be a bit easier tho to start with.

please don't play MGS4 or any other MGS game again. You'll just half-ass it and give the game a bad review.

The cutscenes are never longer than 10 minutes even that is stretching it, but it focuse heavily on cutscenes to drive the story forward as the series is meant to be a truly cinematic experience.

Metal Gear = Movie, cinematics are the essences of the game! Furthermore, MGS4 will have great graphics, gameplay(new gameplay engine), new 3D camera, FPS the way it is meant to be, over shoulder camera view, up to 70 customizable weapons with each and every one of them having a secondary fire, Octo Camo, Solid Eye, etc...and last but not least, GREAT SEQUEL and AWESOME STORYLINE! All hail "MASTERMIND" Mr.Hideo Kojima GOD bless him!

mgs series actually has good cinematics that are worth sitting through and push the plot better than any other medium. kojima said that he plans to shorten the cinemas but i hope he doesnt too much.

Why has noone said the obvious thing, in MGS3 you could skip the cutscnes, I watched them all though, I enjoyed the cool storyline.

there are 2 reasons you play this game 1 its great fun to play and 2 it has the best game story ever. i love just sitting back and watching the cinematics it depends on what you like, but if you dont like that then dont play mgs its a story drivin game and you cant go skipping through every video.

but i did get a little p$$ed of when the nano thing kept going off every 5 seconds
