alright so i just went off to the store to buy a screen protector for the psp, in the store i saw packs having 2 games that cost 20€ each being sold for €30 together. so i thought I'm going to buy a pack(i got killzone liberation and tekken) and i also bought a screen protector. went back home but before starting to play i tried to put that protector on. and now i have a problem

i tried and tried to put it on properly but air bubbles keep appearing! and that's really annoying. does anyone know how to get rid of those bubbles?

I think there's nothing you can do. Screen protectors are like that. It also leaves a residue and some glunky stains that don't come off the screen.

I would caution against screen protectors. I used them for my DS before and it wasn't very useful.

The PSP's biggest weakness is the open screen. It's very prone to scratches, stains, finger prints etc. So I would never use a screen protector because it would leave some stains that won't come off.

I just try to take care of it as best I can.

you can do something about it. get a knife, turn it upside down and use the flat surface to evenly put the screen protecter on it so you don't get bubbles under it.

I advise you to NOT ever use the PSP screen protector by MAD CATZ! I just tried it and it is virtually impossible to apply without the result of multiple bubbles. And by the time you attempt to readjust it for like the fourth or fifth time the protector is already useless as new dust got attached to it.

I don't know about other brands. There might be some of better quality, which are easier to apply. But I'm getting sick of tryin' them all out. I wasted 10 bucks on that Mad Catz junk, and another protector I bought for my notebook was just the same - bubbled crap! If you're unlucky a screen protector will also leave residue when you remove it.

My recommendation is to take care of your PSP as good as you can and be aware that some superficial scratches are inevitable as time goes by. Most of them can't be seen when the console is turned on anyway.

I bought a "PSP Crystal Armour Case" by Logic3, which is totally fine.

I still think screen protectors are useful, as long as you apply them carefully. It's possible to push the bubbles slowly out to the side of the protector, where you can get rid of them. Not sure what company made mine, but I'm happy with it.

Same here I had no problems with my screen protector, you can push away the bubbles with a card or something.

u just have to apply it correctly. After thoroughly cleaning the screen i place one edge(shorter edge) down and then slowly curve the rest of the protector down so that no bubbles form. i think id be more of a pain in the @$$ to not have the protector but thats just me i guess. my advice- do better

I had the same problem for my DS. but when my dad and i bought my PSP we bought the screen protector and the shop owner put the screen protector on for me. He did a reaaallly good job. So if u had a choice to get one or not, just get it, and maybe find someone who is good at it

lmao i thought this tread was dead

anyway i applied that protector months ago already(when i posted this tread) and its just fine

all you need to do is be carefull, just put it on slowly while pushing it down a bit, that way you wont get many bubles. i have like 2 or maby 3 bubles but they are small and get kinda invisible when psp i turned on, so its really not a bad thing

Late to the party huh? Don't bump old threads.
