I just bought a PSP Traveler Case. I have a PSP 1001, but it says it is for 2000

That's it. I bought it in high hopes for great protection. But now I read it is for PSP 2000 and not 1000 specifically stated on the box. Then, on the site listed abouve, it says that it is for 1000, 2000, and 3000.

Should I open it? My mom will kill me if I just opened it and it doesn't fit after paying $20 for it.

I don't have one, but if it states 2000 on the box then take it back. I have both a 1000 and a 2000 and the 2000 is much slimmer.

I think it's fit to 1000.

well i have a case that says its only for the 1000, so my 2000 is a little loose, but i just "rigged" it so it fits more snug. but going the other way, might be an issue, since the 2000 is a bit smaller/thinner.
