Anyone else have the game? I'm just installing it right now, but I know I'm gonna love it. I'm a huge Battlefield fan.

I want it and I had enough money to buy it earlier but I didnt want to buy just 1 game so I bought Lair and The Darkness. 2 Great games. I used to have Lair before the Analog control update and I hated it because of the SixAxis controls but now I love it. I just have to get used to moving the left stick up if I want to go down
I will get it within the next month though.
Oh damnit, I got the regular not the Gold. What is the difference?Nephasth
Early access to weapons and behind the scenes DVD. Overall, pretty worthless. I wish I would've went with the normal and saved my $10.

It's really nothing. EA was just trying to get an extra $10 from you.
Basically, in the gold edition, you get 5 guns to use in multiplayer in the beginning of the game. But the thing is that these guns can be unlocked in the regular edition by reaching the highest rank in multiplayer. I aso think that there's a "making of" video in it but that's hardly worth the extra 10.
It's like if there was a God of War Platinum Edition, that would come included with all the magic and blades of athena upgraded to the max. All for an extra $10!
This is just one opinion though. Others may feel they're not getting ripped off.
What the others are saying about the content and worth of the gold edition is true.
However, I didn't buy it for the extras, but rather because I enjoy having the "premo" version of games.
Just a thing of mine.

I've seen quite a few of your posts and this reinforces what I've been thinking which is that you are a true "hardcore gamer".:)
Bought it yesterday morning, and spent about the next 6 hrs straight online, partly re-gaining my ranks and guns I'd earned in the demo, and partly just wandering round the other giant maps finding good sniping spots. Played the one player for a couple of hours after I gave my eyes a bit of a rest, and while it's not the best FPS one-player I've played, that's really not the reason I bought it anyway, so meh...
Even ran into a couple of friends online... there's nothing quite like saying "Hi, yeah, I bought Battlefield too!" by blowing their heads off with a shotgun. I'm interested to see what this upgrade will be when it's released, but I'm in no big hurry... having lots of fun online :)
