You'd think Sony would try and make the Greatest Hits cases look better, and thus more enticing to potential buyers instead of making them into further eyesores.
Oh well.

Maybe this is their way of punishing people for not buying the game earlier. :P
Yea man i know what you mean. They only had the red cases for NGS but for Resistance and Motorstorm, they just had a red sticker on them that said Greatest Hits lolLiquidDom
Sadly that'll change. :(
Sounds similar to what they did with PS2 games when they got recently turned into Greatest Hits.
They'd just put a label in the wrapping for the copies that were already printed.

Scary part is, that sounds very plausible.
THESE CASES ARE SO UGLY!!! They are just plain red and look really weird. They are not clear red either. It is a solid red. The game is Ninja Gaiden Sigma. I decided to buy it because it was Greatest hits now and I got the new red cases. Really sticks out in my collection. If i had a camera I would take pics but I dont so go to you GameStop and look at them. Thats where I got mine.LiquidDom
But you bought it didn't you?
Doesn't matter what is on the outside, but what is on the inside ..

So true and you must of wanted that game for the price, so really shouldn't matter.
Should post some pics so we could see what they look like.Prisoner1137

lol who knows?
OMG would ppl just stop complaining about the Greatest Hits Cases. i mean u dont buy a game to stare at the box. i personally dont think the greatest hits are that bad. so the cases are red so frickin what. the cases for both ps2 and arent that big of a deal. give it a break guys ive seen this too many timesThe_Wild_Tiger
tell me about it, ppl complain about the stupidest things
I still think they are better than the green boxes for xbox titles. For Sony to say hey here's some games that are pretty cool and drop the price instead of just letting retailers drop the price is pretty cool to me, so what if the box is red. $30 for some pretty solid titles is almost a steal.

Well, someone's gotta use 'em. :D Can't have a bunch of red cases just layin' around.

That's what I've been thinking. For the life of me I cannot figure out why they didn't go with blue instead of red. That'd just go along with the PS3 theme even more than the current cases do.

I am not complaining? I am just saying that the cases are red and that they are ugly as SH!T. I just hate them because it just looks weird in my collection. You dont see me rushing back to the store to return. I am keeping it, I just wanted to tell people that they are very ugly.

To be quie honest, I love the case. it does stand out but the design isn't so bad. At least nothing is really obstructing the actual cover design this time around.
The one thing I would prefer though would be to have the case clear red instead of solid.

From what I've seen, here in Canada, the GH cases are still white/clear and they just add the red band at the top of the cover image. The cases themselves aren't red. At least no that i've noticed.
What Sony should have done is just tie it in with their BR and makes the cases Blue. I don't know why they went red considering red was the GH colour for PS2. PS1 was green. Why not come up with a new colour for PS3. Blue seems like a logical choice to me.
