I just went to the local pawn shop and asked about PS3's and he said he had a 60GB for $299. I wasn't planning on buying a PS3 today, but when I heard that, I whipped out the credit card quick! He said he had to lower the price because Wal-Mart had brand new one's for $399. Ha! He said no one would buy it because of that. That just goes to show you how dumb people can be. Now, I just need some games! (Thank God it'll play my PS2 games until I can get some, though!)fortysix_tooExcellent, that's a great find for you!
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I have wanted a PS3 since launch, but I thought I wouldn't be able to afford one for years. Man, did I get lucky!fortysix_too
dang.. with the extra 100 bucks you saved you could buy almost 2 games or even buy like a 160gb HDD.. haha i want a bigger HDD.. i only have around 18 gigs left

For years? At 399 it's a "years" prospect but at 299 it's an impulse purchase? Amazing the difference a mere 100 bucks will make.

not even talking about how much the new 40g ps3s are piece of craps with only two usb ports no card reader and lack of bacwardd compatibility im personnally looking everywhere around town to find a 60g ps3 . good buywanneir
Why the hell would you need more then 2 usb plugs? And who used the card reader anyways..?
No, it was not factory sealed. It was used and is fairly scratched up. It is just a local pawn shop in a small town in Alabama. But, I bought the last one anyway. They had about 3 of them a few weeks ago, and I guess they could always get more, though. I didn't even get the box or manuals, but for $299, I don't care. It works, and it plays PS2 games. That's what matters to me.fortysix_too
Don't worry about the scratches... mine is really scratched up from apparnetly nothing... so it being scratched up should be worrying at all.
