If you like stealth games MGSIV is a must. If you like Resistence you'll like the sequel. Also Fallout 3, Devil may Crys 4, LBP and Uncharted are good selections.
I just recently got a PS3 as well. So far I'd recommend Motorstorm: Pacific Rift and Metal Gear Solid 4. For more recommendations check out the recommendation thread posted at the top of the PS3 forums.
