HEllo I just got a PS3, the big and old one, it has 80GB HDD space. I have a few questions.

Can I connect to internet using the bluetooth with my cellphone? Just as I do when I am using a laptop?

Where do I get the batteries for the Dualshock 3?.

How do I change my PSN avatar?

My TV set is not a HD one, it is just a Wega 21" and it has the green/blue ports in the back side, it also has the 16:9 option and I just wanted to know if I could play with any HD resolution using those cables.

That is all, thank you!.

1.) I wouldn't think so 2.) You charge it with the micro-USB cable you should have received 3.) Under account settings (above the PSN Store icon I believe) Hope this helps. Congratz on your PS3

thank you, but the Safety and Support guide that came with the PS3 says that the battery has a limited lifespan, so I guess someday I will have to change it, right?

who actually takes the time to read those things when theres forums that can answer specific questions? batteries cannot be replaced unless u send your dualshock/sixaxis to sony your component cables wouldnt render hd graphics on that kinda tv. or any that ISNT hd. avatars are changed in account management. and you cant use a cell phone to connect your ps3 to the internet

The battery will last you for years, and if/when they do crap out, you take the screws off the back and change the batteries. If your TV is an SDTV and has a port for component cables, then that probably means that you're TV can do 480p with component.
