I just picked up Lair not too long ago.

I finished two missions so far, and it's the best game I've played on my PS3 so far.

If I would have just accepted the ridiculous reviews and not bought it, never would have been able to experience this awesome game.

I've played Resistance, NGS, Heavenly Sword, MotorStorm, Elder Scrolls 4, and Warhawk as well.

Heavenly Sword was also amazing, but we'll see if it's better than it once I finish it.

Thus far, the game is the best I've played.

The only thing I've seen extremely critisized about the game are it's controls.

The controls are awesome, it's the first game to really take advantage of the SIXAXIS and it's so fun and fresh.

I have no idea how everyone hates this game.

Just curious, BUt to the 2 guys who Love the game. Do you sometimes try to do a 180 but mistakenly lunge the dragon fowards instead? grathan

i agree though, besides for some very minor control problems the game was fun, and beautiful to look at. well ok, the game was fun until i got frustrated at the bug part in the desert. my rental period was almost up anyway.

Yeah, I don't think 4.5 was a very justifiable score. Every game on the PS3 with the exception of Oblivion and NGS, has a score of 8.8 and lower (Resistance being highest). GameSpot just doesn't like any games published by Sony.

Just because one or two people say something is bad, doesn't mean everyone else will agree.

I rented it. It's definetly better than a 4.5...I think games that don't quite live up to their hype get rated lower than they really should be. For instance, Lair was hyped as like an 8.0/8.5 title, didn't quite live up too its hype so it got dramatically underrated, but in reality was more like a 7.0 title. I will be buying the game someday when I can get it for $20.ultima-flare

I bought Lair and also thought it was a great game. I didn't dislike anything about it. It's one of a kind on the PS3.

I, personally, only buy games I know I'll keep and play more later on.

Lair is such a great game, even now I'm listening to the OST on it and a picture slide show is playing with it - I couldn't ask for more.

I agree Lairs controls are excellent , I have Lair, RFOM and motorstorm and I think that RFOM is my fav then lair then motor storm. Mainly because Im not done moving and my HD tv is stilla t my old house :( Ill be getting it by novembre :(

Nobody HATES the game.. they are just dissapointed that the game didn't become wht it ould have become.

I've read all the arguments, and I've been putting off playing this game because of all the horrible reviews it's getting, but if it's enjoyable by some people I better try it because I don't wanna miss out on something amazing. I know that it's for sure the best looking PS3 game out yet, but now let's see how the game works.jimboboklashaur

Looks like I need to pick up "Lair".

The six-axis thing was a little wierd for me at first with "Heavenly Sword", but once I got the hang of it, it was a ton of fun.
