...Borderlands at a friend's house (he works at an electronics store and they got it early) and the game really is amazing in it's own way. It's nothing like Fallout 3, sure they share some similarities with the settings but that's about it. For instance in Fallout 3 you get a deeper level of interaction with the NPC's where your decisions affect your character's growth as a person, but in Borderlands you only get missions from NPC's without any of the decision making development that Fallout 3 has (but their dialogue is funny). Also both games share an open world environment, but Fallout 3 seems to be the bigger wasteland. I mean don't get me wrong Borderlands' world is big, but just not as huge as the one found in Fallout 3 (which makes the action in Borderlands more constant...which isn't necesarily a bad thing, in fact it suits the game perfectly). Another thing I found pretty spectacular was the amazing amount of guns and how satisfying and polished the gunplay is in this game (really, WOW!!!). I've also heard some people complaining about the game's graphics being cel-shaded, well let me tell you that I wouldn't take it any other way (it fits the game perfectly and belive me when I tell you it doesn't shy away from being gorish and brutal when it has to be). If I were to compare Borderlands with any game, I'd say it's a mix between Fallout 3 & Far Cry...with gigantic amounts of action. Borderlands is pure unfiltered action, it's so addictive and fun that I really can't understand why it isn't getting more exposure.

Same as me, also does it take a resoanably amount of shots to put someone down and how well does the ai use cover, if at all?

It all depends on the current weapon you're carrying (I changed a lot cause the game tosses weapons at you like crazy) and your aim. For example, every shot you take at an enemy, it will display a number indicating the amount of damage taken from that enemy's HP (just like an RPG) and succesful headshots are considered critical hits (but again it all depends on the weapon your carrying and it's atributes). Regarding the enemy AI, well the monsters are cannon fodder (they see you and start charging and leaping at you as if you just insulted their mothers) and the human enemies I encountered mostly just run & shoot at you (with the occasional zig zag movement to evade your shots, just not as often as I would've liked).

People are more excited for over hyped games over this sadly, this game always looked awesome to me. Screw MW2, I want this game!

In the solo game, do you have the other 3 guys with you (or can you recruit them as mercenaries?)?

Also, one thing I forgot to mention about the game is the driving coponent (...and I'm surprised no one asked about it too!). I found it to be very similar to Mass Effect and felt kinda awkward (...I dunno maybe I just need to get used to it).
