I know this might be a bit illogical, but have you considered renting it and if you think you need to buy it after trying it you could?

You could always download the demo from the Playstation Store.

There shouldn't really be a decision involved in getting NG, if you like ninja's then yes, if you don't, then no. I can't really imagine an in between.

I did not enjoy Ninja Gaiden Sigma at all. Bought it and sold it after a month.

One of my favorite PS3 games, easily. Actually one of my favorite action games ever made. It's hard and it takes skill to master, but you feel like you've achieved something in the game when you truly master the combat. But like ZimpanX said, download the demo and see if it's for you. :)

Definitely a game that requires skill. All of the recent games that have been released have not been as intense as Ninja Gaiden Sigma. You'll feel proud if you complete the game.

There's a few problems with Ninja Gaiden Sigma:

a) It's got some rough edges visually.
b) It's very difficult, which turns some gamers off.

But the pros outweigh the cons. It's definitely one of the better platform/beat-em-up games on the console and, as someone else said, if you like ninjas it's an easy sell.

the only parts where i've seen problems are in some of the cinematics. I believe they just recycled some of those from last gen so those are not up to par. the main one i noticed was *SPOILER* when Rachael is tied up on top of the pyramid.

I couldn't stand it because its just to much button mashing for me. But thats just my opinion. Thats also the reason I am not a real big fan of GOW but i like the story better than NG.

I got the game not to long ago and I've loved it so far. The story is nothing spectacular, it's the normal everyday good versus evil type story. The fighting is very challenging and you can't button mash your way through i. I hear people say this a lot but I just can't do it the first level of course but it gets hard, or maybe I just suck who knows. Either way I would say it's worth getting I'm enjoying.
