geeze people chill. this is my 2nd negative comment on my sig. is it really that annoying?r-teestactually yea it is cause everyone on here has one just like that except they change it up a bit which dosent make a difference cause its meant to do the same thing
IMO Piracy doesn't hurt the PSP. The pirates would still need to buy a PSP to run the software & play the games, so it doesn't hurt Sony that much. It also gives Sony much more console sales because in 3rd world countries w/c the average salary is $2 a day buying games would be like paying for luxury. It helps the sales because people from this countries just needs to buy the system itself & not worry about the games. Piracy just hurts the game developers but not the system developers, I mean if I had the money, I would buy the games but if you don't, what choice do you have? watch tv.

what? no one in a 3rd world country on a third world salary would be able to buy a psp , or would for that amtter as their would be other things to take priority over games. Further more , piracy isn't crippling the psp all too much

Sony collects royalties though, on all games sold for the system. In this sense it does affect them.

They could buy the system alone. I came from one & I am from a middle class family I got a Ps1 & Ps2 as a present from my parents, but other than that there is no means for me to buy a game but maybe just one or two but that's it. Imagine owning a gaming system with 1 game that would suck.geeze people chill. this is my 2nd negative comment on my sig. is it really that annoying?r-teest
yes

You might be right that Sony will still profit from the sale of PSPs, but I think the original point was about game developers and their profits getting lower due to piracy. They don't make money because someone bought a PSP, they make it from the sales of their games. People steal the game = no profit for the developer = no more incentive to develope for the PSP.
