I wouldnt worry next year there are so many amzing games coming out people will be buying PS3's left right and centre, the word that PS3s are better than the others is getting around steadily, next year will see our beloved PS3 take its crown back and in style. GTA IV, GT5, MGS4 OMG next year will be huge just because of those three! Believe me next year Sony will sit back on the thrown, plus in Japan its selling better than any other console!

the ps3 is the new kid on the block
it takes time for him to fit in
in terms of the usa it has been
known that the 360 has a wider
user base hence the ps3 is not
as popular because of this..

Well even if the ps3 does sell the least out of all the consoles, it will still have quality games like the gamecube did last gen.

And to answer your question, Im sure MGS4 and KZ2 will boost some sales. And Final Fantasy will probably just be a monster.

the ps3 is a her now? ok...

but right now it's being overshadowed by the x360 and the wii, which would explain it's weaker sales in the US, in Europe PS3 is what dominates really, not that it's been selling crazy but I'm pretty sure it's better than the x360

You have to remember MS launched a year early and sold 10 million units year 1. Year 2, with competition MS can't even sell 5 million worldwide, PS3 is at about 6 million for the year and Wii about 14 million. PS3 worldwide has outsold X360 by about a million units for the year. So it's doing well, just not as good as Wii.

In the US they need more shooters. Unreal was a good decision for Sony and if Killzone is good that will help also. A weak 2008 library by the competition will also help PS3, along with the acceptance of Blu-ray.

MS didn't even sell 10 mill units, those where inflated numbers to make it look better.

Anyways who cares about the numbers :) as long as i enjoy my PS3 and great games are coming out or are out.

Just going by what we know. MS said 10 million so I'm going with that. Unless they lied, but they wouldn't do that would they??

Weak sales shouldn't affect the time you spend with "her" behind closed doors...she's a sexy beast and the world is slowly beginning to realize this fact...with more time this point will become undeniable...ya dig???

blame Sony, they said they want people to feel they have too work extra hours to buy 1. Yes the hard core went out and got a $599 PS3 and a few others. even at $399 that is still out of mass market reach. They need to get a $299 PS3 out there to sell to the mass market. For most $399 is steep. I am 26 all of my friends have jobs out of college and on our way. We also grew up playing video games. 2 of my friends have PS3 (I have one too). We have jobs pay our own bills, but the thing that stops most of us from owning a PS3 is the steep as hell price. just for me my bills this month alone. car+ insurance $600, gas $80, electric $266, water, $54, phone $148, cable $178, rent $705.for a grand total of $2031 not including food or gas.Its the cost of living and an $500-$400 game system usually doesn't make the budget. But here is the kicker about 10 of my friends have Wii's, and I wonder why?

People are going to start buying the PS3, if Killzone 2 and Haze turn out to be good. On top of that I think your going to see PS3 sales go up when MSG4 comes out.

Simply put: the Ps3 doesn't have the games right now. The 360 has the games right now, whether that still happens moving forward, who knows. PS3 has the games coming out in 08. When better games come out for the PS3, it will move consoles.

I make more than enough money. I'm not complaining about my bills I just wanted to give an example of what the real world cost. my electric is that high and it winter, thats low for where I live trust me. cable I have all the channels and internet in that package. My phone well thats the f'n Alltel, you get an $60 month plan and a second line for $9 and it comes out to $150 its phone math. My point being most don't have an extra $500+ they just get by with regular bills they pay.

Seeing that the PS3 hasn't been out on the market a full year yet in some regions and it also had two fronts of compitition at the time it was released this being the Wii and the 360. Also last holiday season there was a problem with keeping a supply of consoles on the market, the reason they were being auctioned off on the internet for unreal prices. So the PS3 is doing just fine.
