agreed. Theres just too much pressure and publicity around games nowadays..I mean for every game that comes out and gets reviewed someone in the world is going to complain..I think thats apart of it. If we didnt have these kinds of ppl that review and critisize, it wouldnt really bea problem. But we need em..I do miss the days when you just played a game and didnt really think of anything else...
I completely agree.
But the only reason ppl complain because they want to play amazing games. No one wants errors in a game.
Sony has always been all about the graphics. They were marketing the Playstation while the SNES was still in diapers and the N64 was still just an afterthought. I would imagine that die hard Sony fans look for the newest and greatest technology and artwork in there games.

You just described me. I play games that I like, I dont care if they drop in frames or crap like that. If I enjoy the game I play it. If you check my games, you will see ton of low rated games, and I love them.
Games as Genji, KZ, Hack, Lair, Dynasty Warriors series, Megaman X series, etc.
I think a lot of this has to do with the fact that consoles and games are significantly more expensive than they used to be. In many cases, people can only afford to buy one console and several games a year. It's understandable to question whether or not you made the right decision in purchasing one console or game over another. People want to be sure they spent their money in the right way, which is why all of the nonsense on forums like this exists.
Yeah I agree. But sadly i've been converted by the always evil media and I worship clean graphics, a smooth framerate and a glitch-less game. It kills the fun factor for me if the graphics aren't as good as they should be. It's probably some type of OCD.
I miss the good old days of the N64/PS1 era. I feel like today's game industry has gone toward a different direction to gaming.
Its not about fun anymore its about perfection. They have gone a long way toward making games look good and innovative ,
but there isalmost noneof that fun and challenge factorin the current gen. I find myself Getting bored often on current games
even if they wow me.
Whatever happened to them? I love my PS3 just like all the systems i have owned over the last 15 years, and remember the time when people just enjoyed games for the game, not complaining about framerates and crap. I bet you could go back to some of your favorite games in the past and it had so many problems but you didnt care becuase it was fun, like Killzone awesome game more bugs than ever though. Everyone now just complains and whines about the dumbest things i find it rediculous at times. What i find even funnier is that most of the people that talk bad about a game never even played it before, does anyone else agree with me just miss when games did what they were meant to do which is entertain not create a friggin political debate like we are running for president or something.KurupSoldr
Agree! Now we have people complaining about game length and framerates. They must not have been around for the nintendo and sega days when you able to be a game in 1hr-3hrs. I guess us older gamers appreciate games more than the up & comers.
WOW didnt expect so much agreement, and i do agree to a point about some of the arguments made about games these day and i think you should get what you pay for at least. but i remember the games i had the most fun are games like mario kart and goldeneye, dont get me wrong i have fun with games of this gen but like i said its just too political i think some devs do a great job to offer as much as possible while othersare out to make the quick buck becuase us as consumers make it way too easy sometimes for them. keep on posting its good to see a topic with good conversation for once without the crap talk
I think reading too many reviews and threads has ruined the prespect of games for me... Like assassins creed and uncharted, I was looking forward to both, but then someone has to bring out some issue with both, making me second guess myself and never be able to fully enjoy it because of the flaws only magnified by critics. gamer_marrik
Agreed. When i was 14-15 i just looked at the cover of the game and thought "this looks fun". I remember when i bought "Xgames pro boarder". it was really fun. But the reviews were crap. I dont read reviews anymore. I read about the game instead.

Well, some of us here have been gaming since the old days. I started 14 years ago with the NES (playing Mappy, Back Street Fighting, SM, SM3, Macross and Galaga). I enjoyed each and every console I had, though my only complain about consoles may come from durability. I can enjoy my game If Im worrying about the console all the time, specially since where I am there is no such thing as consumer support. Thats why for the moment I will restrain myself from getting a 360. Though I had one and had a blast with it, running as crazy in Dead Rising is priceless :P.
I still buy games from what I think about it. I could care less about reviews, there is proof enough of that in my games collection that I update here.
True, but I appreciate some of the stuff that we have now. It gives people the chance to improve, and it also gives us enough knowledge to decide whether a game is for us or not... In the old times, the only thing you have were magazines with a couple of pictures... and a lot of good games passed under the radar, more than now.hermes200
Exactly.
Agreed. I feel that the gaming industy has become more cold and corporate. I miss the days when developers listended to its gamers and focused on creating games that were fun and not just for show. OMG!!! Its nots 1080P? Its teh sucks! The 8bit to 64bit era will always be the golden age of gaming imo.InfinityMugen
I totally agree. I can't even tell the difference between 480 720 or 1080p

Yes you can. If you can't, then you must see everything blurry. Even my uncle who's completely tech illiterate noticed the picture quality on my HDTV and now he wants to get one cause the picture is so much better.
