i beleive warriors of the lost empire is a hack and stlash action rpg, u should take a look at it, also kingdom of paradise is a pretty nice action rpg.
tactics is turned based and i dont think valkrie profile is hack n slash either but if you do like other rpg's disgaea is a turned based liked tactics but deeper customization, less serious nature, and lots of fun, jeanne D' Arc is turn-based as well and if you like level 5's work you'll like that. and Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is a love/hate game from what I hear, never played it myself but lots of people love it.
