Hey guys, im going on a long trip to florida (about 2-3 hours just on the plane) sigh but ive been saving my cash (125$) and i could rly use a good rpg game since i have none for my psp on the trip.

Note ( i have played a lot of rpgs just not on the psp)

I'm looking for an rpg that is(has)

an addictive gameplay

a good story

a fun battle system

something that i can play forever

Some that sounded intresting on the psp were tales of the world monster hunter and brave story but im willing to get any good rpg game

so pls tell me ur opinions on some of the best rpgs for the psp:D

As far as I'm concerend there are no games like that on the PSP yet. I hear Riveria is good, but I can't tell you that from experience.

Lets just hope that one day if we're lucky, Square will port one of it's PS2 RPG classics to the PSP.

Brave Story is a really good RPG. If you are looking for something you can play forever you can try Monster Hunter Freedom. That game is so long and deep it is crazy. It will give you as much gameplay as you want so if you are planning on playing this game for a long time to come I would roll that game.

From experience, I know that most RPGs on PSP suck. The only good RPG it has, in my opinion, is Valkerie Profile, although even that can get a little boring.

I recently picked up Kingdom of Paradise, and it's amazing.

The battle system is something new that I haven't experienced before.

Brave Story and MHF are also good, but KoP is a must for PSP RPG fans.

Jeanne D' Arc would be a very good choice.

It just needs to come out soon.:?

As I mentioned in your last thread...Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth! It is the highest scoring RPG for the PSP to date.

I agree with the last two posters. I've been searching around just for a good game, period. Tales of the World had a surprisingly low score not just on GameSpot, but IGN as well (It's another game-related website). I've read on IGN that Brave Storyis a good rpg, but it's nothing out of the ordinary that would awe long time rpg players. I've read 2 reviews on Monster Hunter and found that if you have A LOT of time on your hand, you might want to check it out. If you have time, just search for rpg reviewsand see which one catches your attention. Valkryie Profile, however, seems to be the highest rated rpg to date, so you might want to check it out. Hope I helped. Please tell us what your final choice was.

right now looking at the RPG's out on the PSP I would have to pick Brave Story it's a cool mix of classic turn based rpg, cool battle system where you can level up in mid battle and gain new abilities or cool team up attacks (two or three character team up in and all out co-op attack ..... there are also other bonus like def. up, power up too) depending on how long there were fighting together. Great graphic, quick load times, it's a really solid rpg that shouldn't be missed.

Tales of the world is cool especially if you 're a tales series fan, but the lack of story and exploration really hurt the game.

Other upcoming RPG's like D&D Tactic, Jeanne D' Arc seem to be rpg's worth looking forward too!

you won't find an RPG with all of those qualities on the PSP yet, but as far as i've heard you can't go wrong with Brave Story or Riviera. they both sound quite good to me, but not quite as good as, say, the recent Final Fantasy games on the PS2. if it's possible to wait, i'd get Jeanne D'Arc when it releases on August 21st.
