I need help? PSP update 6.00?

Hello. Recently I had bought Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days for the PSP through Playstation Network. After I downloaded the game to my memory card, it says that in order to play it, I need to upgrade from 5.55 to 6.00. I am not sure how to do this, because every time I go to PSP update version, it just says "The system software of your PSP system is version 5.55. There is no need to update." How will I go about doing this? Is there a way to download the update?

First try and download it from your computer, and run it on your 3000. As i dont download games, i dont know. But dont the games come bundled with the lastest firmware?? With the good old UMDs they did. I dont know this answer, which is why im asking it.
