my question is what does it mean when every one your playing with has a circle with a line going through it. like the ghostbuster sign or the no smoking sign. is someone using me has a host because they seem to ignore me. should i quit the game and start another game when this happens.

for some reason my next question is i can't figure out how to make a ranked game. when i start my own host game i can't find were is says ranked or not ranked game. is it some were else before i start a game up. i want to get my score up because im finally getting the hang of it. i now split screen is not ranked but when i play one player i can't find the place that says ranted.

To the best of my knowledge. You can create a ranked match, but your PS3 becomes a dedicated server. Hence you cannot play while hosting a ranked match. That's how it used to work. I have not tried it in months.

If you want to create a ranked game you can either choose dedicated or player ranked. I think what your looking for is player ranked because that's the one that lets you play in your own ranked games.
