I noticed something in all the Killzone2 gameplay vids that have surfaced during E3.If you notice when you fire your rifle a great deal of smoke is emmited out of the barrel of the gun. With that said when you are looking down the iron sites of the rifle,or even firing it just held out, the smoke blocks your vision of the enemy you are shooting at.The result is that you cant even see through the smoke to tell if you killed your target and you cant even tell if you are hitting your target for that matter. This does not happen though when your gun has the greenish red-dot site as seen in the vids.

It seems like it is bad enough to hinder gameplay and be annoying.I know there is a good deal of dev time left but this seems like something that is a problem and can easily be overlooked by the devs.Anyone notice this? And what are your thoughts?

Don't really care, I find it to be minor at worst, until I play the game I won't say that it "hinders" the game at all.

Well there trying to make you feel like your in a real battlefield. Everything isn't going to be clear as day. Smokes going to get in the way and make you not see its just a part of trying to make you feel like your in the game. This game was in Pre-Alpha about 2 months ago or so...so i mean its got a long way to go but i haven't see much bad in the game. Well other than in the Killzone 2 conference/showing the flag or cloth waving in the wind on the building across from you kept disapearing and reapearing.

don't you think that is a little nitpicking especially when you are only watching gameplay and not actually playing it with the smoke?

there should be no smoke comeing out of a gun when shooting it. modern fire arms use smokless powder. At least there should be next to no smoke,

I dont really care for that. In fact ask yourself, "what game has actually gone into that much detail" none. O well. Little things like this will not effect me. Plus you could always go rambo, how bout if that is particular to one certain gun?

That being said, it is a fictional universe.

And a video game too! When reality doesn't matter! Hooray for having fun..........................

Was it really necessary to make a thread about this minor issue?

think about it!If you are behind cover and trying to pop in and out to pick guys off one by one because you are taking heavy fire in the process,if you cant tell if your bullets are going over the enemy's shoulder or hitting them because the smoke is basically blinding your vision than wouldnt you get shot and be killed alot cause you will be out in the open hopeing your bullets are hitting and killing these dudes?I dont want the game to be easy but hell you got to see what the heck you are shooting at.Besides from what I've seen in this game its like total "war action mayhem" going on.

I dont mean to be critical.I bet most of you who read this topic didnt even notice this in action and didnt notice how much the smoke affects what I'm talking about. And you probably wont bring up some vids to see either.

beleive me this issue is quite troublesome. If you take the time to look up some vids you will see.Pre-alpha or not this could easily be overlooked. This game was supposed to be out this holiday but they pushed it to Feb. to make room for resistance2 this year.So that said I bet its just gonna be debugging, minor visual tweeks, and multiplayer experience work to finish development.

That's a very good observation, but until I get my own hands on it....no comment. There will be a beta, if you are in it....give them your feedback.

lol...come guys, don't be to hard on him. I'm sure the devs don't mind constructive criticism.
