[QUOTE="Scianix-Black"][QUOTE="hazelnutman"] What's so hard to believe? I've been to those tent gaming showcases before. A few years ago, I played Quake 4 months before release in this event when I went down to the States (Seatle, Washington). To be honest, I only went inside the tent to begin with because they had air conditioning. :Phazelnutman
lol, You've been to my neck of the woods?
Funny, I've never even heard about this event.
I can't remember the details, but it was during my first trip ever down to the US. It was this giant tent with barely any lights on save for these illuminated Quake logos put everywhere. The unplayed PCs were all simultaneously playing the opening sequence to the game, and there were like two guys running it wearing Quake T-Shirts. I think they were handing out rub-on tatoos or key-holding necklaces as well. It was just a small tent within walking distance to the Space Needle, but that's all I recall. However, I do vividly remember this band on the streets handing out CDs to passerbys. I took like 7 of them.
Yep, sounds like Seattle. It's a breeding ground for budding artists and musicians. Lots of hippies and spirituals here, too.
Maybe you stumbled into a PAX tent? It's possible, but I doubt it.
