Well, it wasn't there, but in the games section there was an empty rack with a label that said Heavenly Sword $59.99--looked like they were all sold out and there was no "pre-order" sign, so I was freaking out thinking they had already released it and Gamespot just hasn't reviewed it yet...

Am I crazy????????????????

That's what I was thinking, but right next to it was a sold out Ghost Recon AW2 rack, and I thought it was already released. I guess I should have asked the people who were working there.

It isn't uncommon for games to be released in stores early.

well somebody should let stores like Sears know this, because they routinely do it. You could buy NG: Sigma something like 10 days early if you went there...

Actually it is not, well one thing considering!! I work at Blockbuster and sometimes we get games in early and as long as it isnt packed with a "Strict Street Date" we can put it out when we get it. Most of the games that have strict street dates are sports games with a few other catagories of games depending on how big of a title it is.

A copy? Hell I went to Target today and saw at least 10-15 copies of it. Only reason I didnt buy one is because of the reviews. It has now become a rental to see if it's worth the $60(well even before the reviews it was a rental).

Yes, yes you are. If you need to rely on strangers to tell you if you are crazy or not, you are.

I used to work for a major retailer in North Vancouver and you wouldn't want to know the hellfire and brimstone that comes down on a company that releases software or hardware early......it aint pretty. The company can be fined HUGE!
