Guys, campcom is probably wanna make profit as it cost more money to make a game now. So if they make it devil may cry multiplform, I think they probably would give us lost planet and dead rising for exchange, i think it's very possible.
Its not IF. Its already confirmed. It is a good chance Lost Planet and Dead Rising will make it to the PS3, if not....most likely their sequels will.rappid_rabbit
where did you read it was confirmed? that woudl have been all over gamspot and n4g.com if they were confirmed for PS3. and lost planet is horrible anyways.
Again I got a thread around here about install bases but its an excuse for devs to use install base and a reason not to do it. It's the devs problem to increase the install base by making games.
actually, the producer or director said on an interview, i'll edit with the link later because i have to find it again, but he said he may just have to port over Lost Planet to the ps3. but that would come later. doesn't know when but he said he may do it. so a port is possible...
i saw lost planet and dead rising previews in last year's official play station 2 magazine and it said the games were coming out for ps3 and after a few months both games came out on 360, but i dont think they will come out on ps3 because capcom made enough profit from both games but the sequels may come out on ps3

There is no such thing as enough profit. If they can make more, they will.

Seriously I highly doubt that the PS3 will see either of them simply because big bill gates will try anything to secure the two capcom titles that brought his system a fairly decent amount of money.
I think pretty much every 360 and PS3 game that isn't 1st party should be considered multiplatform at this point. Which is great. I like having the choice, and I am not upset by this at all. A lot of people who are upset about this new trend are being silly... if you really like a development team, you would want them to make money so that they can keep making games that you enjoy. I bet KOTOR 3 comes to PS3.
I've been saying this since DMC4 went multi-plat. They pretty much go multi-plat with everything. Probably when dead rising 2 and lost planet 2 come out, the PS3 will have enough consoles out that Capcom can make a large sum of money.
LP looked eh to me, but I would certainly love for Dead Rising to come to PS3 and I think that both could and SHOULD happen. Those are among the few games that make me a little sad that I won't ever buy a 360. If we get those than the only really good game already out on 360 (IMO) that won't be on PS3 is Gears then you can no longer say that xbox360 has games and ps3 doesn't. I disagree with the statement already. We have Resistance, Oblivion, Motorstorm, and Virtual Fighter they have Gears, Oblivion, Dead Rising, Lost Planet. If we get those two then we are beyond even (note i don't care for Halo3, Crapdown, Mass Effect, or Bioshock (it will likely come to ps3 anyway from what i hear)).

Capcom does not have any plans to release lost plantet on the PS3. Maybe it will change in the future but this is what the Sr. Director of Strategic Planning & Research said.

The answer is Dead Rising and Lost Planet are not slated to appear on Wii or PS3 as far as current plans go. The reasons for this are quite convoluted and I'm bound by NDAs on these matters so I can't divulge why this is the situation.
I don't know why fanboys feel like something has been taken away from them. To address the original post, don't count on seeing either Dead Rising or Lost Planet in their current incarnations on PS3. PS3 might get sequels to those games.
There's no equivalent trade when it comes to consoles. I don't think we'll ever get Lost Planet on PS3. Capcom sucks big time for making exclusives for xbox and multiplatformers for PS3. That's bad for Sony and to us of course, but at the moment I am more concerned 'bout Sony 'cause Sony has lost way too many exclusives by now. I am so hoping not to see FFXIII or MGS4 turn multiplatform, that would only give microsoft a slightly better change at beating Sony (yeah like that would ever happen). I just hate playing multiplatformers coz exclusives are better since when developers make exclusives they can put all their effort in just one console and that leads to better games.
I don't care much for Dead Rising, as its more of a novelty game that wears thin fast. I would like to try Lost Planet though, unless my buddy with the 360 picks it up finally and then I'll just try it on that system and simply continue to collect PS3 exclusives like Lair, Heavenly and Killzone.
