Earlier this morning i was playing resistance when just as the round ended it froze just before it goes to the screen where it shows all the players and all their kills, deaths, medals, and so on. The screen when black so i turned my ps3 off, back switch and everything. I turned it on again after that and tried to play wahawk but it would not load the disk. I tried putting in all my games, none worked. It never even showed up on the game section with the control icon. It just isnt loading and reading games. What do i do? I am really starting to worry.

Sorry about the bad humor.

Since you are having trouble with more than one game I would call the 800 # for some suggestions from Sony.

They might recommend things like restoring the system settings or something.

The worse case scenario is sending the console to Sony for an exchange.

WOW those pictures are crazy!

To the TC, press and hold the powerbutton for 5+ seconds to reset to default settings and see what happens.

Did you shut off your PS3 from the back switch while it was still on and running?

If you did - then you broke it. You should have held down the power switch at the front of the system for 10 seconds for a force shutdown.

That's why I said 5+ seconds. I couldn't remember the exact time. I guess when all fails, try reading the troubleshooting section in the directions.

It should shut off when held down at the front switch. The light would begin flashing and beep twice for a force shutdown. You should have let go and tried holding it again.

Sorry, but you broke your PS3 cause you shut it off at the back switch. The manual warns not to do this.

Try calling Sony - I recommend you don't tell them you shut it off at the back while it was still running. Just say it broke, and ask if you can get a new one when you send it in. If it is covered under warranty - then there should be no problem.

Hope it helps - sorry there is nothing you can do. The PS3 has gone to a better place now.

no...something very similar happened to me during vegas, but mine turned off from the front but the disc drive still failed. He needs to do a system reformat first, if that doesnt work (because that corrects an error due to turning it off from the back) than he has to call sony

Oh it does not break when you turn it off at the back switch. I do this every time when it freezes and it works perfectly still.

from my experience, your lens has been locked, which means you should change your lens from SONY. i am chinese, and most of my friends bought the Hongkong version, they have met this situation. The ps3 version is 80g HONGKONG.
