I got a message on my Vita, something along the lines of: System Error, Will Now Shut Down.

So I shut it down, and now it won't turn back on. It won't read any charge cables, I've tried 2. I tried it on an outlet and via USB. Neither worked.

So I'm thinking the battery may be dead. How much does this cost to fix? I don't have a warranty from Sony.

I would like to get it fixed, but I don't want to pay more than $50. I'd rather just sell it on eBay; seems I can get around $100. I would just keep my memory card and games.

And also, when I plug the charger in, it glows orange for a half second, then it blinks orange, then nothing. It does that every time.

Try charging it for at least 1 hour. If the PS button is blinking orange light it means that the battery is drained and doesn't have enough charge to turn the unit on (it won't turn on even if the charger is plugged in). See if the light is still blinking after 1 hour (it usually stays on after 30 mins. of charging).
