What do you guys think, should I go with it? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5031322#Specifications

Thanks.

That is a good price for that particular model, is 27" the biggest size you can go with?  The reason I ask is that HDTV is kind of wasted on smaller sets...

Vizio has a 37" model for $799

Westinghouse has a 37" 1080p model for about $899 (I actually own this set and its is very nice)

I will be sitting about 5 feet away from it litterally, lol. And the contrast ratio is awesome on this set (3000:1)

Contrast ratio is measured differently by different companies: Samsung uses "dynamic" contrast ratio where as other companies (Sony, Panasonic, etc) use a "static" contrast ratio....bascially, they aren't comparing on the same "scale."

The only reason I am mentioning this is so that you don't just buy it based on #s, just because it looks good on paper doesn't mean that it looks good in reality.  As for that TV, a friend of mine has it, and he is happy with it.

Just remember that the single BIGGEST complaint for all LCD and Plasma purchases is "I wish I went bigger" so if you can squeeze it in grab a slightly bigger model.  Who knows how long you will own the tv and how long it will stay in the same spot.  I didn't even get my tv home before the decision was made to move it to a different room so I was really thankful that I went up a size.

I sit only about 8' from my 55", it is never a bad thing to go bigger.  When it comes to HDTVs there is never TOO big.

I will think about going for the 32" they offer for a little less then $900. But I already have a 26" and I am more than happy with the size, and won't be moving it. This Tv is only for my bedroom. Plus I can't afford a big Tv, believe me, I drool over those 50+ inch Tv's they have every time i go shopping. I have between now and the years ebd to make a decision (and save money) Thanks for the help guys.

I wish. I need to save before Christmas then I will buy this or a better one. My old Tv just doesnt cut it anymore. It cuts off parts of the image when I play a game, The font is so small that I cant read it, and the remote doesnt work at all. I guess thats what I get for buting a $350 "as is" model at BB.
