Stupid thread. Your wording suggests you haven't played it, you offer no explanation, you don't explain how much "that good" is and you seem to be a fanboy of the most over rated game on the PS3 with your avatar and signature.
Yes, it is overrated... However its still a really good game, just not as good as they made it sound... I was a little dissapointed, not because its no good, just got way over hyped

the hype is just about right if you're looking at it from a graphical standpoint... well as for the game...I'd say its pretty much the same thing as the first Uncharted the story is pretty much the same especially the plot setup lol. the gameplay is the same as well except for having more emphasis on stealth and scripted events... anyways, its still the fun experience the first one was...I'm just having a hard time justifying paying full price for it but meh...what's done is done.
I played the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune demo and hated it. One day I saw it for $19.99 used and I bought it and I have loved it ever since. Great game, I can't believe it only got like 7.5's and 8's, I don't see how they imrpoved it THAT drastically... I cannot wait to play Uncharted 2.

Its not about the hype for me (I ignored it all) its just not really that amazing of a game, and it gets annoying constantly hearing everyone going on and on about how amazing the game is when its only a great game. Short story, choppy combat, amazingly stupid AI, and ofcourse the story tho well written feels exactly like the first Uncharted.
The experience was very different from what I normally get or expect from games. The story wasn't Oscar winning, but it certainly is on-par with any summer blockbuster action flick. The graphics are incredible. The only game I've seen better is probably Crysis, and that's really just because of the physics they throw in on top of the graphics. I also felt the gameplay was much improved over UC1. The platforming and shooting sections were not as dillineated this time, and often you find yourself doing both at the same time. Drake seems more connected to his environment now, each foot-plant and hand-grab seem to connect much better than in UC1. Shooting sections are challenging, and the greater variety of weapons strewn about the level make it much more interesting. The improved hand-to-hand and stealth combat make getting in close far more rewarding. There were so many "wow" moments in the game, I'd have to say that I do think it was worth the hype.
In multiplayer, my only real gripe is that you do not get any good boosters out of the gate, so those with more time invested will get the best of you for a while until you level up. Overall I think it deserves a 9.5 and should definitely be contender for GOTY. I can understand this not being someone's type of game, but it really is amazing.

I am actually playing the first one to get used to the game before i open the second but it is an OK game. Hope the multiplayer is fun...but i agree that it is over rated and that only because all the hype behind the game.
still a good game to play. better than other games. people have many tastes so it might be great game and to to some it's a normal good. we should be gratful for games that r good. u don't wanna end up buying a game that u regret spending money. try to do some research on the game. or taking advice from your friends after telling them about what kind of games u like. at least i do that and satisfied with consequences. :)

This all leads back to there always being a few people that just go against the grane and decide that because a game got hype it must suck.. Expressing dislike for a game is one thing but people are down right saying games suck that they haven't even given a real fighting chance or even never touched.. Like it or not the graphics in UC2 are a milestone in console gaming and the overall story is well presented. Those are facts, it being overrated is just an opinion..
He's totally right, uncharted is overrated!!! The game has so many problems i don't know what you guys are talking about, it's like you're from another planet!! You honestly can't tell how crappy uncharted 2 is!! I mean besides the graphics, it's just shooting and jumping, absolute boredom!!

Alien games are useless. Uncharted 2 is completely over hyped. Racing games are my style. And First person shooters.

I really wish people would buy a system or buy a game and play it before trying to talk down about it. If your closed minded just state that it is not your type of game. Games like WOW and Oblivion I would not buy or play nor would i bash them because they are not my style. If you dont like a game just say its not you dont make a thread about it, even though i do agree it is over rated it is still a decent fun game.
You are contradicting yourself, Killzone 2 was hyped from 2005-2009 and when it came out I enjoyed it, but most of that enjoyment came from the visuals, the story was quite bland and the online multiplayer was done as well in games that got far less attention. Uncharted 2 was hyped for just 1 year and the single player experience is absolutely amazing it is Epic and that is what makes single player campaigns good ;), its a constant non stop action ride through different enviroments, on the other hand it also looks better than Killzone 2.
That all said, if you feel as though Killzone 2 wasnt overhyped and you believe Uncharted 2 was you are lying.

I stand corrected. Maybe tomorrow you should make another entirely new "uncharted is overrated" thread even though you have no intention of even playing the game before commenting on it. Surely THAT ONE will be filled with even more insightful discussion than your previous three threads.
