I bought UTIII the day it was released, and I started off by playing the campaign mode. I was dissapointed right off the bat. In campaign mode you just have matches against the cpu, like capture the flag or team death match type. One good thing about the game, were the graphics, you have to see it to believe it. Online was very hard for me to get used to, because the game is so fast paced. The bullets are slow and easy to dodge so you have to keep on shooting, and prey they hit the enemy before he kills you. I noticed while I was playing online there was some kind of interference, someone else would be controlling my character. after a second or two I would regain control of my character, but than it would go back. I love playing games online, like cod 4. But I prefer to go through the story mode first. When I heard UTIII was going to have a campaign mode I thought, this game was going to be a must buy. I did enjoy the online mode a lot but I just thought I was going to get tired of it after a week or two. So today I traded in UTIII and I got like 30 bucks for it :( . Tell me what you guys think of UTIII, and if you think I made the right decision to trade it in. That was just my opinion of the game, I really hope though you guys enjoy it. :)

Dude cod4 is a must for any gamer. the single player is short but sweet. And the online is probably the best part of the game.

All UT campaigns are with bots, no offense but you should have done some research before you went out and bought it. Never take a chance especially when games are $60.

I dont think its a bad as you are making out but...... I just cant get in to this game. I dont suck Im usually 2nd or 3rd in kills. It just seems to get old really quickly. Im no hater but xlive is just better for friends. Ive been playing this game for at least 7 hrs in the 2 days Ive had it,and have yet to hear anyone speak. It seems like a mindless empty unfulling shooter, which sucks because I was really looking forward to this game.

After becoming a big fan of UT2004, I patiently awaited the release of UTIII. When Mark Rein said it'd have a more fleshed out single player and the great multiplayer that we know and love, I was very excited. Then the game released, I played it and I'm still playing it. The single player campaign is like the same thing its always been and the multiplayer feels toned down from UT2004. Needless to say, I am quite disappointed. The visuals even look lacking after playing Uncharted. It's still fun, but not that great game I was hoping for.

Actually I spent 53 bucks. I work at best buy. I should have done some research, before I bought it.

Yeah that's the way UT's "Campaign" mode has always been... I wouldn't have expected anything different. The online is what this game is all about ... so if you didn't like it returning it was a smart choice.

I like the game....and even if I didn't, I still wouldn't get rid of it after like 1 day, gotta give it some time to grow on ya, plus you might have liked it more once the mods started coming out.

I think the haters are missing the point. This isn't Unreal it's Unreal Tournament. It's suppose to feel like a sport like a Gladiator game.

UT online takes some time to get used to, and it's just because of that: the fast pacing. If you just stick with it, you'll get used to it after a few deathmatches...

To be honest,UT3 was not on my radar anyway...I never was a fan of the francise. Plus,I'm having soooooo much fun with COD4 I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.

That is correct, Tournament has always been focused on multiplayer and community support. Can't wait to get it, hoping for Christmas :)

So instead of playing until you got tired you traded it in for half the money you paid cause you EVENTUALLY would have got tired of it?

You just read what you wrote and comment on yourself .

I did not but UT this time around and i do not plan to. Cod 4 is all i need as a shooter at the moment but every body knows UT is mostly a MP game and if yoiu didn't you are posting this on a vidceo games website you could have read the review, i am sure they mention single player is not the strongest component but more of a training for on line gaming

Anyway what can i say? YZuo traded the game in altready you are down 30$ sometimes mistakes do help though.

wow, i don't understand what all the wining is about. I have played some pretty overrated games this year. halo3, mass effect, orange box but this game is what i expected and more.

superb graphics

great multiplayer and online coop

awesome gameplay and intense play.

builtin xmb by epic so you could do without ingame xmb. I can see what my friends are doing and send friend requests. most of the ps3 games can't do this so you guys should be happy.

i'm speechless at the whining on this board.

I do enjoy the game because i'm an unreal fan, my only grip with the game is the voice chat. It's completely garbage. You don't hear anyone talking, you really chat with your friends smoothly, they just really fell short on the voice chat and I was looking forward to chatting with my xbox live friends that went out and bought a PS3 just to play this game. They need to fix this problem with a patch or update or something.

this is why I'm waiting to buy UT3, I'll give it a few months for the PC fanbase to build up and make some mods that I can play on the ps3

Personally I've played every UT game on PC and consoles and I truely like UT3 on the PS3. In my opinion I think people are blowing the campaign thing out of purportion. The campagin should only be considered as training for online. Again that is just me. I was expecting the single player part to be as epic as FF or Zelda.

But just like opinions to each his/her own
